"I didnt know much about blu ray players when I bought this one. i just knew that my dvd player finally gave out and I needed a player that would play my regular dvds as well as my recorded ones. I figured that a blu ray player would probably be able to read more formats than a dvd player would so I took a chance and I was glad i did. The quality and performance has left dvd players behind as far as I am concerned. Thanks Samsung for your quality products."

"Not only are the features, the design, the playback, etc REMARKABLE with this BluRay, BUT THE DURABILITY IS FANTASTIC!!! Mine was thrown and landed on pavement AND STILL WORKS LIKE A CHARM(a lil "dinged-up" on the exterior, but not too bad)!!!!"

"Thou I already have a Samsung SMART TV I really enjoy my Blu-ray player because it has the SMART function widgets as well. So when listening to music from Pandora or watching movies on Netflix I can truly get immersed since my Samsung Blu-ray runs thru my surround sound home theater receiver! The Blu-ray picture quality is so life-like that whenever we have guest over people always comment "What kind of TV is that and who makes it" and with a sinister grin I always reply SAMSUNG of course....."

"I've had this product for at least 2 years and I just love it! The only drawbacks are the lack of sufficient internal memory for some applications and the fact that I had to purchase the wireless adapter for it; I'd have preferred if the wireless capability was built in. Otherwise, the picture is stunningly clear (I use HDMI cables) and I've never experienced even one issue with performance. The applications, such as YouTube and Facebook are pretty cool, as well."

"I bought this to go along with my Samung 46" new wide screen TV. It does all and more of what I could want in a Blu Ray player, The quality and picture is always awesome and the easy of use is great. The connections in the back made my life easy while hooking up the Blu-ray and the manual made things easy to understand. I'm so glad I got this Blu-ray for the Samung matched TV.. "A Perfect Match""

My Blu-ray Disc™ Player (BD-C5500) is kool...!!!
the features , like touch sensitive face controls, and a fully, easy to use in the dark, Remote control.. keeps me smiling almost a year after my purchase!
blu-ray disks play with a wonder-filled ease and my older DVD's NEVER skip a beat!!

The Samsung "link stick," streams off my laptop through the Blu-ray Player (BD-C5500) and the FLASH DRIVE port is easy to get-to, and great to use for many formats..

"This item was a gift and I truly have no complaints about it. There are times when certain disks will not play or even load and they do play in my other player. I am not sure if this is due to the disk itself of the player though. I like most of the features the player comes with and the Menu is simple enough to use. Unfortunately I no longer have an internet connection so cannot use some features."

"I have had this over a year with no issues. The onlyu thing i would complain about is the door that has the Samsung logo is a little flimsy. My dog bumped into it as was loading a DVD and the door broke off. It still works great sans door."

"My Samsung LED was not a smart tv so I picked up this blu-ray player and it not only had the apps I needed, but it also commicated with the tv making it easy for my kids to use as well. The quality of the blu-ray movie was excellent using HDMI. Very well priced as well."

"I bought my blu ray player refurbished. I had been researching for one for three months and asked others who had a blu ray as well. I went online, and saw it. My TV is also Samsung so I thought why not. And it has not failed me yet. I love the my computer too because my router is attached to my blu ray player while I can go online with ease. It is worth the money(just in case, I do have a protection plan on it too)"
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, cuts off when not in use after awhile, does play 'other' dvds fine
