"This unit came bundled with my TV purchase. I have only owned the unit a few weeks, but it works flawlessly so far. I am amazed that the Samsung TV and Blu-ray DVD talk to each other. Inserting a disc makes the TV automatically change to the DVD source. The wireless connection to my router was very easy. The quality of the Blu-ray is excellent. I use the digital optical audio output from the TV to my 7.1 home theater for surround sound."

Cons: no audio output except thru the hdmi

"Love the small form factor, preloaded apps, and built in Wi-Fi. Previous devices claiming built-in Wi-Fi were able to connect to network, only to drop connection within seconds. This player also incorporates an "Auto Play" feature for Netflix. It counts down to play the next episode and then starts the program for you, after a few plays, the system will ask if you are still watching, so your couch and chair will not be the ones keeping up to date without you."

"This product was a gift. It was very easy to set up and is easy to operate. It plays discs very well and connecting to the internet was quite simple.
It could use an additional connection to connect directly to older surround sound equipment. My surround sound must come through the TV when using this product, which isn't ideal."

"Picked up this player this afternoon. Setup was a breeze. Only needing to plug in my HDMI cable and the power and away I went. I love that the controller is able to control my Samsung LED TV right out of the box. No need to grab the other control the switch between TV and DVD. Netflix setup with no issues and I was able to immediately continue streaming some TV episodes that I started earlier on another TV. AllShare was able to find my media server and other DLNA devices with no issues. You can't find a better player for the price."

"I love this unit, Netflix is reachable via the remote =) I do admit that the player was a bit slow, but the firmware upgrade greatly improved speed and responsiveness. The network setup went very smoothly and the wireless is built in, very small cord footprint. Lastly it's compact, contemporary, and sleek. I greatly enjoy it !"

"I purchased this Blue-Ray player as a gift for my son to use in his bedroom. We do not have cable of any kind and instead have opted for a subscription to Netflix. This being the case I wanted to find a way for him to be able to watch Netflix in his room. I decided upon this Blue-Ray player because I have had good luck with Samsung products in the past and I liked the features, size, and shape of this unit. It is the perfect size for use in a bedroom or any other place where room is limited. The Blue-Ray player was incredibly easy to set up and the universal remote that comes with it was already pre-programed to control the Samsung TV we connected the Blue-Ray player to. This Blue-Ray player is very easy to use and it works perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone, and I plan on buying another one for my bedroom as soon as I am able. The one thing that surprised me a bit was that the only way to connect the Blue-Ray player to TV is via a HDMI Cable, and there isn't one included with the Blue-Ray player, you must supply that yourself. This wasn't a problem for me because I had a spare cable already. Although, this may be part of the reason the unit is so reasonably priced."

"Best bang for the buck I saw at HH Gregg for Black Friday. Setup is quick and easy. It wouldn't read DVDs out of the box until I updated the firmware, which only took a few minutes. Great load time and sleak design you expect from Samsung."

"This Blu-ray player is great. It has a cool body style my other Blu-ray player doesn't have and was at the time affordable around black Friday. Although, I wish it had more apps you could download instead of just the five already pre-downloaded. It seems pretty durable and is not heavy at all."

"We love this player. but it has a few limitations that could easily be fixed through firmware updates:
Positives: Compact, no distracting front LEDs, soft touch buttons, small remote with cool Netflix button. Built in Wi-Fi is N so works fast most of the time. Best value for the money we've ever found. Works with Samsung Allshare (Windows 32 bit) to access local content on other devices (like your PC)
Problems:
Needs a few things added to the firmware updates like Hulu+, Amazon, etc. Wish it had a bigger buffer for Netflix to reduce rebuffering.
Serious drawback is that since ALL new computers come with Windows 64, Allshare is useless for most PCs out there now.

"This BluRay player loads movies quickly and seems to have a great output in terms of picture quality. The one thing I would like to see Samsung add would be some sort of a display on the front and to also move the buttons from the top of the unit to the front so that they are easier to access."

"This is the second unit in 3 days. The first hung up in YouTube and would not come out. Also the Unit would stop playing several times in NetFix. I found out later that my WiFi router needed replacing. Once that was done the second unit worked fine. Small footprint, very easy to install. Just HDMI and power cord and it is ready. Do not use this unit for anything but Samsung. The remote is dedicated to Samsung."

"Overall, this is a good little Blu-ray player. It plays all Blu-ray discs and all apps but Netflix perfectly. Netflix steaming is spotty at best. Frequently the Netflix app will freeze up the player and the only solution is to unplug the machine. As I bought it mainly for the Netflix streaming, I will be giving this player to my children to play their DVD collection and purchasing a better player for my husband and me."

"I have been using the e5400 for a few months now, it really is a great device for the pricetag. If you don't have a 3d tv, this is the blueray for you. The device is avery lightweight, compact design. Delievers an excellent picture quality to your tv. The built in smart apps are a joy to use, and i love the netflix and pandora shortcut buttons being right on the remote. the use of allshare with other samsung devices makes this little blue ray a very good value. one of the cheaper built in wifi blu rays on the market, but certainly not poor quality. i like the inclusion of the screen saver feature, it really puts me at ease when i am watching content late at night in bed. no longer woried about my plasma tv getting a burn in if i fall asleeep, the screen saver has got your back."

"I was surprised by how small this player is, but it works great. I saw some reviews comment on the player being load when playing disc and I agree it is loader then other blue ray players I have, but once the movie starts it is not load enough to be noticed. The wireless update for me is a must and works great!"

"Works and looks great for the price. Small footprint perfect for sitting on the bookcase below our mounted flatscreen. My only beef: Pandora and online update not working. Security I suspect. Maybe my WiFi, but hoping a firmware update via flashdrive will fix it."
