"This was a lifechanging purchase for our family. I run 10-12 loads of laundry between Sunday and Monday. My bottleneck was always the drying time which would be about 2 hours a load with my old dryer. This new Samsung dryer only takes 45 minutes to dry my very large loads. The time I dedicate to running laundry was cut in half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This makes our family VERY happy to have more time. Thanks Samsung! Now, will you please come up with a washer/dryer in the same machine so I don't have to take the step to switch from washer to dryer?"

"I just had this dryer and the matching washer delivered and installed in my apartment this morning. My parents have had this same combo for more than a year so I already knew what I was buying. This dryer is super quiet, has easy to understand controls and got a great deal for them. I have been buying samsung products since the 1990's and they have never let me down!"

"I replaced my old dryer after 18 years with this new Samsung unit. It dries faster than my old dryer and has less tangling of the items. Only thing I wish I had gotten was the steam option."

"We loved the dryer. It worked well, saved energy, and was reliable. But after 11 months the thermostat burned up. We have a complicated (and long) vent system, which was not full of lint but had significant buildup. I have two gripes. First, why not put a temp. sensor in the thing so it gives a warning if it's getting too hot? That would probably add a dollar to the cost of the machine. An air flow sensor would be another good idea. This is not a cheap dryer; why not make it more reliable. The second gripe is how long it took to get it repaired under warranty. We're going on three weeks, and it's still dead. The technician (contract through Sears) came after two weeks and ordered a part (thermostat) which is probably the most common failure. But not in stock."
Cons: low reliability. weak design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
