"This camera has many great features that are documented in the CD instruction manual. A printed manual would be more useful for those traveling, since a PC may not be available. Some icons in the manual are small and hard to see. Because it is so feature rich, use and practice with the camera before an important event is a good idea.

I fully charged the camera the night before a wedding. I found the cycle time between shots a bit slow (a reduction of 25%-50% would really help). The battery size/life needs to be increased, too. The battery died before the reception was over. Doubling the battery life would be a good idea, especially since one can't just pop in a couple of AA batteries and continue.

The eyelet for attaching the wrist strap is poorly located, too small, and too hard to thread. I had to borrow my wife's beading tools and headband magnifier to string the strap.

Even with the issues above, I'm impressed with the results. Many times the camera (in smart picture mode) made great pictures, some in unusual lighting conditions. Other times, pictures did not come out well that I thought should have. On-board camera help and the CD instructions could benefit from using tradtional camera terminology like "center weighted"."

Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, feature rich

Cons: cycle time a bit long between shots, battery life needs to be longer

"This camera is comparable in all features with others in the same price range. The broken camera that this one replaces had better picture details and only cost about 40.00 more. The single touch macro option does not work - one must go into the 'mode' area to select such. And, the manual is sorely lacking in instruction details. A beginner wouldn't know how to initiate most functions."

Cons: Not high def
