"The Samsung SL50 is a great buy for the novice digital camera owner. The features are plenty and are easily accessible.
The only complaint that I have is during video recordings the sound cuts off when using the zoom function.
The picture quality is way above average for a entry level camera.
I have tested this camera outdoors during daylight and night time, both situations yielded great pictures. I also tested the camera in my apartment with NO lights on at night, and the pictures came out perfectly.
The macro quality for taking close up pictures also worked better than my expectations, and is great for taking detailed shots of flowers, and other close up critical objects."
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, macro mode
Cons: Not high def, no sound when using zoom during video recordings
I would recommend this to a friend!

"Takes a nice picture, but is terribly slow to fire, making it frustrating to capture a particular instant. It is supposed to be able to take a burst of pictures, but it takes too long to both store the current photo and/or charge the flash, so you still only get one photo every 2-3 seconds. The macro setting won't focus close enough to get really good close ups. The autofocus is hopeless with closeups. I bought it to shoot insects and flowers. (I'm a beekeeper.) Because of the issues above, I'd rather have something else."

Cons: Did not meet expectations, slow

"I've bought 2 different brand name 10.2 camera's with photo quality issues. I paid A LOT more money for this one than I did my 7mp samsung camera and it takes excellent photos and videos than you ever seen.
Some thing is not right when you pay more for a camera and do not get better results.."
