"The main purpose of purchasing a Blu-ray system was to have access to Netflix; therefore, I can't complain about Hulu not being a free application with the device. I would only hope that a download could be made available through Samsung so that Hulu plus can be an application for my BD-C6500."

"Hulu Plus is a great app, but make sure the product you buy supports it. I thought I did my homework, but later found that only one 3D blu-ray player (or any other for that matter) will allow you to use this app. And it must be a 2010 model. Now I'm stuck with a player that I feel like I have to upgrade and I've only had it a couple of months. Really no reason, in my opinion, that others can't get the app considering that my BD-C5900 plays Netflicks without any problems. I believe this was Hulu's call, from what I read."

"Yup, the Samsung C5500C Blu-ray player that I purchased approximately one week after purchasing the Samsung 26" LED TV is a great product that produces an exceptional, crisp image on our new TV. Samsung quality is certainly top-notch---so why, oh why, isn't it possible to get Hulu+ on either of these products?
As you can see from the many unhappy reviews here, it would definitely put Samsung products back into the
" word of mouth " advertising loop that all manufacturers covet so much if they would just add the Hulu+ app to more of their products. It's just software----couldn't be too difficult? Right?"

For the level of connectivity and capability that the BD-C6500 customers purchased, I think those customers will predominately expect the Hulu Plus application, or minimially information on if and when this will happen."

"I think that hulu plus should be offered for download if you have an account with hulu. It is very much misleading to say it is availiable. After talking to the rep it is not available for the BD 6500. I recently purchase the Blue Ray player, because of the offer of hulu plus and the other apps. I would recommend this product to a friend, but I would also tell them to be careful of the apps offered. It looks like "What you see is what you get" nothing more other than games if you want to buy.......I am very much disappointed in the apps offered....."

I can understand if the app wasn't available for any of the Blu Ray palyers. But this was a more expensive 3D model. Like others have mentioned, there are other video apps like Netflix available.

I hope Samsung communicates their plans to add Hulu Plus to this model soon. Other friends have been asking me for Blu Ray recommendations. I have told them to hold off on Samsung for a few more weeks until I see if the Hulu Plus app is added."

"I just purchased this blu ray in December of 2010. Imagine my dismay when I signed up for hulu plus only to learn that it will not run on my device. Guess I will cancel that. Sad that a brand new device can't be upgraded to accommodate such a popular app."

"I am another disappointed customer that wanted to get Hulu on my player. I even went and signed up for the Hulu Plus account online so I'd be able to watch the shows I wanted; but then found out that it's not compatible with the C6500 model. I have Netflix, but they're not very up to date with their releases and most of the stuff they have available for immediate streaming, is old."

"The design and features are very good. the performance is terrible and unstable. I have Hulu Plus on 3 devices (android phone, Xbox 360 and Samsung 9000 tv). The only device that has a problem is the Samsung Hulu Plus app. As another reviewer stated, it's constantly saying I have streaming issues. I have 12mbps and wired LAN. There should be no issues. It's constantly going down, but never during the ads. If the streaming issue ever gets fixed, it will be nearly perfect. Until then, I wouldn't recommend it."

"I just spent like 45 minutes attempting to add hulu plus onto my Blu Ray player just to find out that you cannot have hulu plus on the C5500! And it is advertised right on the box! And I just got this Blu Ray player last week! It's 2011!!!

"I don't understand why I purchase 4 products within 2 weeks. I have to bluray players for the two tvs I bought and found that after connecting all that the c5500 bluray player can have hulu on it. The crazy thing is that the c5900 3d player can't play hulu. Go figure that one out. This makes me want to take the c5900 3d player back to the store and get my money back. "Dear Samsung, I bought my first wireless blu ray player only to discover that I had to have an additional wireless antennae (sold seperately, not marked on package) so I returned it where a store employee convinced me to buy the model I have. "I have used other subscription video systems on my player so this is not a problem with my internet or device, but specifically with the Hulu plus app.
1. Very slow to start and navigate through to what you want
2. Every time I play a show the app has some sort of streaming problem, the usual complaint is that my streaming speed is too slow, or the lsoftware crashes so bad that I get a freeze screen that stays up until I power off the player. Surprising how the ads have no problems playing, but then it can't play the show."

Hulu Plus or Amazon does not work with BD-C6500

"I have had my Blu-ray player for a couple of months and am unable to get the app that will work with either HULU PLUS or AMAZON. I thought I was buying cutting edge technology, apparently NOT. I was seriously considering the purchase of other Samsung eletronics like the 7.1 Receiver, the Galazy, and the Samsung Moblie Phone. Needless, that's not going to happen as I am now sure it will not work with future apps just like my Blu-ray player and my Samsung LCD (LN40B630N1FUZA). I certainly would not recommend Samsung to any of my friends."

"Doesn't get the apps available on the internet. You can get Netflix, but no Hulu Plus. System fails sometimes to connect to the internet and sometimes fails to to back after reviewing a movie on Netflix. The controller is a bad design as for entering numbers & letter in, should have had a micro key board builtin, similar to the one's used on Visio TV's. Also the wireless internet should have been built into the system. But the BR DVD works ok. The sound system is ok except could have had more control on the hall echo effects. Also the speaker wires should be longer by 10 feet or so, they aren't long enough!"

"My family and I went shopping for a Blu-Ray player that would specifically play Hulu-Plus so we could drop our cable. We asked at the store and was pointed to the BD-C6500. The box specifically stated it came with Hulu-Plus. We brought it home and found an add for Hulu-Plus on the app store (on the player itself) but no app was available. Just found out that despite the labeling on the box, Hulu-Plus is NOT available for the BD-C6500. So I just spent a lot of money on a Blu-Ray player that cannot do what I wanted it to. Thanks Samsung!"

"One of the reasons I got my Blu Ray was to drop Cable and stream Hulu Plus. I have a BD 6500 and just found out I can't use this. Either add support for Hulu Plus or my next Blu Ray will be from another brand."
