"I am a big cheerleader for all things Samsung. With that said, I really like the features and the portability of the Note. As one of more than 100 million American's with a disability, the Note with it's reduced weight and quick response enables me to use the computer for much longer periods than I ever could with a desktop or even a notebook.
The only downside I have yet to see: is that the white model only comes in 16GB and the other colors come with at least double that. I would also like it if you could make the stylus a bit longer to accomodate individuals with long fingers and larger hands

"First off, I spent a lot of time researching all the tablets available on the market today. I previously owned a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and while I loved it, found myself needing a few more features. I considered the 2 other main contenders on the market as well, but this tablet beats them by leaps and bounds.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a simple, beautiful design. This is the only area where I could ask for anything more. I would prefer my premium tablet to have a premium feel to it. This tablet feels sturdy, and looks beautiful, but I wish it had a metal backing to it, or even a faux metal backing. As I said though, it still looks beautiful and feels good to hold. It is lightweight, meaning that I can use it for hours and it doesn't get tiresome to hold.
Speaking of using it for hours, it definitely has a great battery life. Even during heavy usage, I still manage to get at least a day or two's worth of life out of each charge. This is with the display, which has a very sharp resolution, set at almost maximum brightness.
The s-pen is really what sets this tablet apart from all others. I needed a tablet that I could use at school and on the go for committees I am involved in easily, and that's the big reason I went with the Galaxy Note 10.1. Unlike any other tablet on the market, this one has a unique screen technology that allows me to actually hand write school notes, including the formulas necessary for my math and science classes. The built in apps also help with this, such as S-Note. It's just like writing on a piece of paper, but digitally accessible (and if stored in the cloud, accessible from anywhere I may be at). Photoshop is awesome, as are some other after market apps I can download that allow me to draw entire pictures on the tablet.
The sound quality is great, as when I am working on my laptop, I like to use the tablet set up on a stand to stream Netflix, Hulu, and my music.
Other major pluses include the expandable storage, which allowed me to be a 16GB model and add a 32GB Micro SD Card to it, giving me 48GB of on board storage (I also use multiple cloud apps, including Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Skydrive, giving me practically endless storage space.
I'm usually not a big fan of companies throwing in their own U.I. or apps, but I find that everything Samsung offers, including there Touchwiz U.I. and all of the Samsung Apps, are incredibly well thought out and function phenomenally.
The other great features include a 5MP rear camera with flash, which is ample for a tablet, the 1.9 MP front facing camera is great for using apps such as Skype to video chat with friends & family from wherever you are, the 1.4 Ghz Quad-Core processor and along with a very well built Android OS and Samsungs Touchwiz U.I. means no lag, meaning no annoying wait time as you try to scroll or do virtually anything on the tablet.
All in all, while other tablets may CLAIM to be better, there is no tablet that is as well thought out, function, and as beautiful as the Galaxy Note 10.1"

"Great product! I got the Note 10.1 after my laptop died and I have been happy with it ever since. It works well for what I need it for, which is typically bible studies, browsing the web, personal note taking (love the S Pen and S Notes), reading books, emails, and exploring apps. I love the multi-tasking abilities and the smooth interface. I carry my Note with me much like Linus carries his blanket and am learning more and more of what the unit can do on a daily basis. Can't get enough!
Looking forward to my next Samsung purchase which will be the Galaxy S4 or Note 2. Decisions, decisions, decisions..."

"I originally bought the first galaxy tab and love it. But after a few years of use it was time for an upgrade. The Galaxy note 10.1 is perfect for me, I am a gadget geek and needed something to support my heavy use and it does all that plus more. I use it for games, productivity, reading magazines/books and to watch movies occasionally. This is perfect for all needs. Only downside is no flash, but I guess I can deal with that."

"I spent months researching tablets. After looking at several other brands, l came to the conclusion that this one was the best out of any in its price range just based on specs alone. Comparative to other tablets, the processor speed, features, and the s pen were the winning factors. I am a person who is indecisive, and usually regrets most decisions I make, but this one turned out to be a good one. Although this is not a technical review, this is for those of you who are mulling over whether or not to purchase this tablet."

"I received this for my birthday and I love it! This is my first tablet and I love all of the features. For example, I can use this as a remote for my tv, a phone, a camera, and I can store all of my photos, music, etc. in one place. It is portable and the quality of the screen resolution is outstanding. This is well worth the money. A must have if you are going to upgrade or buy your first tablet."

"I wouldn't just call this a tablet, i would also consider this a notebook pc but its more of a tablet, i love the speed and apps that it comes with, the S pen is pretty cool but i still think they should have increased the internal memory to 32Gb on the white version just like the grey version. I never understood why the white one came with only 16GB but i still manage. That is the only complaint i have about this tablet."

"I bought the Note 10.1 so I could fill out real estate forms, have clients electronically sign them & send them out from one location. This tablet saves the headache of getting signatures, scanning, and then emailing. Many nice features, I just wish I could have purchased it with 4G LTE, instead of just Wi-Fi."

"Well well well...Nothing bad to say. This is my first Tab and no regrets. I have the Galaxy Note 2 phone as well. I just firgured out how to text from my tab. It links with your galaxy phone by using Tablet Talk. I paid for it and no regrets. I can rcv text from my tab as well as send. It will also let you answer calls from it as well with ur bluetooth headset...again i luv this and glad i made the purchase. actually just rcvd it three days ago and cant put it down.
Thanks Samaung, keep them coming.
Oh yea some of the apps do not work with th 10.1 note at this time, but i spoke with the techs and they are working on it.
The price was a bit much, but i guess you get what you pay for and Samsung gave more for the price!"

"I was an apple lover until i saw a commercial for the Samsung galaxy note 10.1. When i saw what it could do and the features it came with i knew i had to have it. It was the best choice I have made in my tablet buying life. It is has so many features it is crazy. It is super fast and super easy to use. The speakers on the front was a great design and it looks absolutely beautiful. I use it more then my home computer."

"I really love my new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. It is a fantastic tablet that has all the bells and whistles. It also lets me get in touch with my artistic side with the S-Pen. I love the S-Pen! I also love how it has multitasking. It has everything I ever wanted in a tablet and more. I am very impressed with it. The only downside is the cost to me. The accessories are also tough to find cheap. They seem a bit pricey. Other than that...I highly recommend this if you wish to buy an Android Tablet!"

"I absolutely LOVE my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1!! I'm a college student and this is SOOOOO much more compatible with taking notes for my classes! Most of my instructors post our notes online and I can download them as a pdf file and use them on the S Note app to highlight and add notes with my S pen. With the camera I can take pics of the diagrams my instructors draw OR draw them myself on my Note! ALSO, because I can run 2 apps at one time on my screen, multitasking is a breeze! This tablet keeps all my schoolwork and day to day life so organized. I also have my nook and amazon kindle apps so I can read books and magazines. If you're a student wanting more from a tablet than surfing the internet and playing games, THIS is the tablet for you! Another big PLUS and MAJOR reason I got the Note 10.1 is the expandable memory. If there are some files on my computer I need on my tablet I get my mini sd card to transfer the files and upload them on my tablet. Super easy!! This tablet is definitely worth the $$ and I don't think I'll be purchasing any other type of brand from here on out!"

"I've had this tablet for two weeks now. It was purchased as a family gift and each member of our family has their favorite apps. My 8 yr. old is using it daily with spelling and math apps that have significantly improved her test scores in just this short amount of time using it. My husband loves watching movies and listening to music on it. I love apps for recipes and magazines and organizing. It is fast - even though we have it loaded up with apps. Great graphics quality, good sound. Compared to all the other tablets on the market - this is by far the best quality and value."

"I just bought my tablet.. and i happen to love it for everything. The one reason I bought it was to use for school... I have to work with it some more but so far I love that I can read my book and take notes on my S Note too. This helps to eliminate my notebooks for classes and i can also print wirelessly . I have and will recommend this to everyone.. I wish I could use it for my seminars but if I could then I wouldn't be on my computer:) an I love to do both at times."

"Love my tablet! I am in nursing school and this is so handy for classes. With the S-pen, I am able to write right on the PowerPoint instead of having to print all my PowerPoint's and write on the paper next to each slide. An now with the added advantage of jelly-bean operating system, I can have the PowerPoint open on one side of the tablet and look up extra information on the internet at the same time. I can download my book, highlight the text and then even print it at home. I really have very little to complain about with this item. If anything it would be that I tried to load adobe to watch a show and found that it was incompatible. I have already told many of my nursing students to check it out."

"Over the past few years I have bought 4 different tablets. I have to say that I really like the Note 10.1 the best. I really love using the S-pen. That has to be one of my favorite features. I love the power of the quad core processor and the 2gb of RAM. It's a little pricey but worth every penny. If you're looking for a non-fruit branded tablet, this is the best one. You won't regret it."

"I absolutely am in love with this tablet. It's so sleek and beautiful with it's glossy white shell and silver trim (matches my G SIII perfectly!) It's also super slim and lightweight and feels very nice to hold.
The S-Pen can't be beat. I think this feature alone sets it apart from other tablets! I couldn't imagine going back to a tablet without the S-Pen, it's very accurate and makes things so much easier to do. It's actually possible to write my signature and have it look like my handwriting now! Above and beyond that though, I love art and photography and feel like this tablet was made for me! Editing photos perfectly is a breeze, especially when used with the included Adobe Photoshop Touch. Drawing and designing are such a pleasure on the Note! I love all of the great features integrated with the pen as well, such as the Air view, which, when hovering the S-pen over the screen you are presented with useful information, have the capability of scrolling and swiping, even zooming in, ALL without even touching the screen!
This tablet runs fast and smooth thanks to the quad core processor! Great battery life as well! I have owned and tested out many other tablets before buying this one and just can't say enough good things. There's no comparison."

"It has to much thinks we can do. The movies look really good in this one, and I had before an Infinity, but the look almost the same. Not to much differences. I really love the way we can create thing such as flyers, not done yet. I am learning by know. I can print in PDF, because my printer, so I hope my printer will add a new apps with more options to print. We can take pictures, this is really an all in one. And we know I is going to get better, because of the actualization and other apps we can add."

"I bought the Note 10.1 to replace an aging Acer A500. It is a solid performer, even more with the 4.1 update. I have no complaints, other than it has a proprietary charging port and no secondary HDMI/Micro or Full USB ports. That truly was a feature I miss from the ACER A500. Will definetely like to a 16-Pin adapter that would have an HDMI, Micro and Full USB port as well as a 16-Pin Samsung Proprietary port so that you can charge your Note 10.1 while using HDMI/Micro/Full USB Ports."

"I did extensive research before purchase of this tablet and the features by far were what drew me to the Note 10.1. The biggest selling point for me was the weight and s pen. I'm a big fan of pen stylus' and have owned wacom tablets with all of my computers. The Galaxy Note 10.1 with the s pen is what I wished the wacom tablet experience to always be!
To be honest, the popup windows are nice but I have never really used them to date unless it was to look up a photo reference to sketch from. More than two popups significantly starts draining system resources.
I love this tablet, it does everything. It's portable, I can edit photos on the fly if I only need to do slight adjustments and touch ups, I can draw, I can surf the web, write my email and check facebook.
I can work. Which can be a drawback or a bonus, but being able to VPN and remote desktop into work and use the s pen as a mouse pointer is SO MUCH BETTER than trying to stab at icons with my finger! I don't have to bother with cracking open the laptop, waiting for the slow OS to boot up.
The plastic backing at first was a turnoff to me, but it makes the tablet so much lighter and who even looks at the back anyway! So it really is a non-issue for me as I keep a case on mine.
The upgrade to 4.1.2 jelly bean made a noticeable difference in smoothness on menu performance. It really is buttery smooth!
Chinese is also now natively available on the US version of the tablet after the upgrade and it's so easy writing Chinese with the s pen and doing handwriting to text.
The voice to text is really good in English, but really funny in Chinese since dialect and phonetics makes it nearly impossible for a voice to character software to ever work properly.
Best investment ever!"

"This tablet is like having your desktop computer with you all the time. It has a lot of features you can use for work. Actually I had problems with work email for 2 weeks about a month ago with my computers at home and the only way I could use work email was thru this tablet. IT support could not explain why work email will work on this tablet but not on my personal computers. It took them 2 weeks to fix it."

"When I purchased the Note 10.1, I thought it was a pretty neat tablet with a novelty like aura about it. With the 4.0.4 ICS firmware, the tablet was pretty fast & smooth & it had quite a few great features. I thought it was a little overpriced, but a nice tablet nonetheless. However, recently Samsung updated the Note 10.1 to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean here in the USA & not only did the update patch a recently reported exploit, it also made this tablet the hands down best device on the market period. Now that I have used this tab with JB, I know I was dead wrong about the novelty part. This thing is simply amazing. Samsung took the "buttery smooth" aspects of Jelly Bean Android & added or expanded upon all of their awesome additions. The multi-window/multi-view feature is very useful & absolutely saves me precious time when I am preparing detailed emails or reports. I also have the heavily hyped Nexus 10 & I will tell you without hesitation that my favorite tablet is the Note 10.1. It is absolutely jam packed with features that will make you say "WOW"!
If you are looking for an Android tablet & you like to draw, take notes, share clipings & articles or pictures with others, this is the device for you. I guarantee it will get several "WOW's" out of you too."

"There are lots of great features. I love the pen and being able to take notes and draw. I am still learning the features as I have just had this a few weeks. There is so much you can do it is unbelievable. The photoshop touch app is already on here. It's a computer, tablet, organizer, photo book, and so much more wrapped into one! Yet it is small and lightweight enough to take to shows and events and the screen is big enough to see it!"

"My best friend has one and we just purchased one for my mother. The device is excellent. Very sleek and very fast. "I bought the International version GT-N8000 as a xmas gift for my wife. The only difference is that it is also a 3G version, which I can use with my cell phone carrier. So far it has lived up to all my expectations. The only problem is that I can not register it with the US Samsung website! It's not a big deal since I'm sure it won't fail being that it is a great Samsung product. It would be nice if I could though!"

"My work place asked me to choose a decent tab which would facilitate my daily duties. For me this means being constantly checking and replying to my email. Set up was a breeze and I found that many of the companies whose software we use have already launched their own apps. SCORE! Once work was out of the way, it was time to play. Music, photos, drawing, browsing, games, movies....what more could I ask for?"

"Wow is all i can say. Is there a over the chart rating for this tablet.
What more can i say, that others have not. It is quick and responsive, clear crisp bright colorful picture.
Luv the camera on this tablet, it takes amazing pics, so clear i could not believe it.
Luv the two speakers, pretty good sound. Battery life could be a bit better, for someone who is constantly on a tablet, doing work and emails.
S note, come on now, and the S pen, this is simply fantastic, and if someone uses S note, what more can one say, i believe to understand all the features of S note, watch the tutitorial on this website.
Taking notes, i luv this feature. This tablet is feature packed, sure, all things can use some tweeking, but this tablet, is dang near pretty perfect.

"This is an excellent device that will get the job done. The S-pen is amazing and the ability to edit video mystifies me. The price tag for the international version I had was kind of hefty but I found it was well worth every penny. The camera and video quality are excellent. It can be used in the office or at the gym. It's like a mobile office. Good bye to my laptop forever!"

"I have owned it a few weeks and what I have used is GREAT. I have used a computer for years but this is a go with you up to date computer. I amazes me what it is able to do and it is so small. Ii have had no problems(except me learning how to use all of it's features) I come from a time when telephones were operator controlled. My first phone # was 664J. "This product is awesome, the quad proc, speed, design, and very user friendly. I would like it, if it had more of a variety of accessories. Its very hard to find them in stores as well."
