"I love my tab had it since Feb. 19 2013. Does everything that I need it to do. I love android.....not a fan of anything that starts with a "I".... Hugh fan of samsung. Would recommend them to anybody. Light and good battery life. Only concern it it heats up when it has been used of a bit."

"This is a great tablet for its price, easy to use and comfortable to hold, only one problem though and its not anything big and every tablet out there has it which is the placing of the speakers, but other than that its a great tablet."

"This tablet is just want I wanted and needed. It's portable, I can carry it in my purse. It's fast and so far has done everything I've needed. Movies are clear, games run smoothly and I can access all of the sites I need to.

"I bought this to replace a 7" e-reader converted into a functional tablet. It was great but it always had problems when doing something it wasn't design to do. I purchased this tablet as a gift for my wife and she immdiately fell in love with it. The color is beautiful, well constructed (feels solid), perfect fit case, application suite is on point, great battery life and so forth. I don't like the fact that it only has 8GB internal memory instead of 16GB, but that was easily solved by adding a 32GB micro SD card.
I believe that if/when Samsung were to release an OTA update for 4.2.2 it will take this tablet to the next level and there will hardly be any rivals in the market that can match its potential."

"This is the perfect purse-tablet for me. The red color is outstanding, have received lots of compliments and the case is perfect, sturdy and convenient. magnets are great.

"I've been wanting a tablet for some time. I had looked at several tablets in the past few months including the iPad. But I didn't like the price or the size. Therefore, when I saw that Samsung was selling this tablet in this garnet red color for less than other tablets and Samsung was even including the cover in the package, I went out and bought it right away. The color is beautiful and the tablet is the perfect size to put in my purse. I am glad glad I purchased this and am now looking to get a mobile hotspot so that I can use my tablet at home or elsewhere."

"After using a certain budget tablet with Ice cream Sandwich for a year, Iv'e decided to upgrade to this Samsung tablet with Jellybean and in my favorite color.
The default browser is very quick and browsing the net on this tablet is just as fast as browsing on my Samsung laptop that has a quadcore processor and 4GB or RAM.
Youtube videos play very well even in high quality mode, compared to my previous budget tablet that would freeze up while playing videos in high quality mode...
The Screen is crystal clear , and the 2 speakers sound good. Camera works great... There is no distortion at all while using headphones. It connects to my Wi-Fi network with ease and I have not dropped the signal yet. One other feature I like is that you can still get sound notifications while the tablet is on lock mode.
It comes with a nice magnetic case which protects the tablet from everyday use. Combining the quality of Samsung with the top mobile operating system (Android), an affordable price and you get an awesome tablet."

"The galaxy tab 2 7.0 is perfect for on the go access. No need to carry around a laptop. It's portable, fast and has all the features you need. Not to mention the 4.1 Jelly Bean is awesome. I have the galaxy s3, also in garnet red, so when I saw this tab was now available in garnet red I had to have it."

"Here is my initial review of this Galaxy Tab 2 Red tablet.
The weight is perfect for holding it much like a paperback or similar book. The display is crisp and bright. The performance is impressive and I have other tablets to compare to it. It was responsive to my touch and the browser was quick. I would recommend this tablet because it is a pleasant experience to use and perfect for reading, watching a movie or having a remote for your television."
The weight is perfect for holding it much like a paperback or similar book. The display is crisp and bright. The performance is impressive and I have other tablets to compare to it. It was responsive to my touch and the browser was quick. I would recommend this tablet because it is a pleasant experience to use and perfect for reading, watching a movie or having a remote for your television."

"How can a tablet be so pretty? The garnet red has a subtle sparkle like my favorite red lipstick. It has everything I have come to expect from Samsung in terms of quality and performance. The only thing that kept it from a perfect rating is wish it had a stylus like the Note."

"Not only does my new Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 look different because of the Garnet Red exterior, compared to every other tablet on the market it has a classy feel too. I debated between the Galaxy Tab and the iPad mini. The overall feel along with the Android system are what sold me. Not to mention the price. 2 Galaxy's or 1 iPad mini, let's see...."

"I received my Tab 2 in garnet red about a month ago. I was very happy with it and it is so pretty in red. ;) Now I am simply frustrated.
I live in the country and get my internet via 3G (hoping 4G will expand into my area soon!) I did some checking around and discovered the VUDU will allow you to download purchased video. This way I can download to my Tab 2 at work where I have real internet and watch at home, right? Not so much. Yes, I can watch at home if it is just me and my 7" GT2, but there is NO VIDEO OUT on this device. Even the Samsung HDMI & RCA adapters do not work with the Galaxy Tab 2. I am hoping and praying that in some future upgrade they will add this capability since I'm stuck with this tablet for probably the next 2 years, but I suspect that the hardware is not capable.
This is my second tablet and I wish I could go back. My previous tablet (now 2 years old) had an HDMI out and cost less than this one. I would trade my daughter for my old one if I didn't need access to the Android Market for my job. *sigh* Live and learn."

Cons: Did not meet expectations, no video out capability

"The price for this was a big plus. The ability to add a micro sd was a big selling point. The other selling point was the ir port. However this is why I rated it 4 stars for overall, features and design. . The peel software is only so so, doesn't have the capability to set up devices in the same room for different viewing activities. No ability to control custom buttons for a device. For a simple setup TV only it works good. Add a dvd, home theater with special settings then it lacks features. I use harmony programmable devices and they work much better. The software has a way to go. The cover that comes with the table is nice but it covers the IR port and blocks the signal making it useless as a remote."

"I was pleasantly pleased when it arrived from Samsun.Com. The tablet is very comfortable in my hands and learning to maneuver around the android interface is fairly easy too. Would have easily given 5 *’s were it not for the two Cons listed. The Limited Garnet Red Edition with cover just pops! It ensures that this tablet will be a standout among all other 7 inch tablets."

Cons: inability to easily move files from int to ext sd, only 8gb internal memory
