"We originally purchased a Vizio 32 LCD and it was a nice TV as well, just had a lot of problems.. So we returned it to the store and as we were looking for a different TV we fell in love with the Samsung! The TV had a GREAT picture and a very stylish look! On top of that we got a REALLY good deal at $477! Right out of the box the TV performed great and was a great upgrade to our TV in the Livingroom!! Months past and still loviing our tv, we decided to upgrade to a bigger size in the livingroom, and we went with the Samsung LN40A530 model, the 40 inch! Now our lovely 32 inch is in the bedroom and we are still very happy! We have all samsung products in out home, all because of the purchase of this TV! We now have the 32 inch in the bedroom, the 40 inch in the living room and our home theater system is also a samsung upconvert! We are completely happy with Samsung and will never choose another brand for our home electronics purchases!"

"We purchased this TV for the wall in our bedroom. We had looked for a smaller size at first, but went with the Samsung 32" b/c we liked the appearance, the picture, and we trust the brand. The picture quality is perfect at 720p. Our bedroom is not our main entertainment area, so nothing better than that resolution was needed. We are happy with our purchase and will be back for more! Also, the reviewer above ours who reviewed this TV based on the "black square" experience... that is not a fair review as it seems you experienced an isolated incident with you set. It does not speak to the actual quality of the TV. Just some food for thought."

"Great value, great picture, HD programing amazing (with HDMI cables). Good size for small living room (apartment) or a bedroom. Picture is very crisp, you can see the grain of the wood on a basketball court or a blade of grass on a golf course or field. Very easy to use and set up - basically plug and play!"

Great picture, but missing some basics

"I shopped around for a couple of weeks before deciding on this TV. Although many TVs seem to match up pretty well when it comes to technical specifications, when you look down the wall of LCDs at your local electronics store, you will find yourself saying, "ooh, what's that one down there?" and 9/10 times it will be a Samsung.
Let me tell you, the picture quality is fantastic. I am a photographer, and have a pretty good appreciation for picture detail and color. This TV does a great job with contrast, color rendering, and overall brightness and clarity. Many of the TVs I looked at had trouble with showing details in the shadows, but this one showed the shadows in great detail, without making them look unnaturally bright. Bottom line... the Picture is right on.
I do, however, have two complaints about this TV. First, this TV is missing a TV Guide feature that allows you to see what program is on other channels, and what's going to be on next. (by the way, I'm using over the air digital tv). This is a simple feature that even my very cheap digital tv converter box had, and I fully expected a $600 TV with a digital tuner to have the same or better Guide feature. Secondly, I was disappointed to find out that the RCA stereo outputs cannot be volume controlled via the TV. The stereo outputs on this TV are "Line Out" outputs, and simply direct the signal to your stereo. None of the sound manipulations available in the TV's menu will affect the stereo outputs. Therefore, if you're using a stereo for your sound (which I would recommend, because the speakers on ANY TV are not that great), you will need to have TWO remotes handy for flipping channels and keeping the volume at a reasonable level. Again, this something that my cheap DTV converter box had built in, and I expected the same level of control from this TV.
Maybe these two issues can be addressed by Samsung in a FIRMWARE update.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, but if I had it to do over, I might spend a little more time making sure that the TV did all the things I expect, rather than just going for the one with the most beautiful picture."

"I bought the 300 model just two weeks ago, and I've already experianced a problem with it. I was watching a show and all of a sudden, a black square showed up on it, taking up most of the screen except for about 3inches around the edges. It would go off if i pressed volume or anyother button on my control, but would come back on instantly. It was a problem with the tv as i don't have anything else hooked up to it. I tried everything to get it to go off, from shutting it off to unplugging it, nothing helped and it went off on its own 20 min later. HOPE THIS ISN'T A SIGN OF WHATS AHEAD."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
