"Well the tv is fantastic. We bought ours from the local HH Gregg store and was very happy with the price and quality of the television. Unfortunately we didn't receive any 3D Glasses in the box. I was under the impression that 3D tv's were supposed to have 2 pair in the box when purchased. I love the tv but will have to wait until glasses for this model are at the price for me to buy them."

"I bought this TV in January because of the price, size and a great combo deal. I love this TV! The color and clarity are outstanding. I have it attached to an HTPC and watch everything from streaming video to blu-ray with exceptional results. I am now in the process of building a 3D HTPC to take advantage of the 3D glasses that came with this TV along with the 3D feature of the TV. I have no complaints what-so-ever. Previously i had only used Samsung components for my computer builds and I found them to be of excellent quality. I will definitely continue to purchase Samsung products as well as recommend them to others."

"This was my first flat screen purchase. My husband and I finally decided to upgrade from our 32" dinosaur tube TV. We went with the intention of getting an LCD TV and were not at all interested in the 3D TVs, but when we got to the store and saw the amazing picture this TV had, we were blown away. It was much better than all of the other LCD and LED TVs in the store. The picture is so much more clear and crisp than any of the TVs in the store. We haven't been able to use the 3D yet because the glasses are on backorder, but I am sure that will be amazing too. The sound from the TV speakers isn't the greatest, but we purchased a home theater system at the same time, so it really doesn't matter. This TV is amazing and I couldn't be happier with it. I hope the durability is just as amazing as the TV has been so far."

"This is a great TV! It replaced another 36" LCD TV and what a difference! The great thing which I never knew is you can watch anything in 3D, not just 3D content.

To get a 50" plasma with 3D for this low a price was a steal!
It is worth the small difference to get the 3D.

Also has great sound which many TVs I've seen do not.
Don't let the 720P vs 1080 P make you think you need to spend the extra $$$ for the 1080P. Looks as good as 1080 for a lot less!"

"The picture is very pleasing for a 720p set. The sets ability to downscale and display resolutions higher than 720p, such as 1080p, is outstanding. When compared next to it's 1080p counterparts, the difference is barely even noticable if not better. Blu Ray movies are simply astounding. Gaming both on the 360 and PS3 are a whole new experience.

This set is indeed a 3D tv. I have not yet had the pleasure to view 3D Blu Ray, but have viewed 3D television broadcasts which are quite the experience to have in your living room. 3D gaming is great, but really depends on the game i.e. shooter, racing, etc. This hdtv has the ability to convert 2D viewing to 3D viewing, which is a cool feature that can be used on any media, but in my opinion is more of a gimmick.

I have not had any problems with the set so far. The infamous "buzzing" problem is not apparent here with my plasma. I have experienced image retention, but nothing to serious, as this is something commonly experience with plasma sets within the first 200 hours."

"I purchased this TV for my study as part of a package deal from Best Buy. I wanted the second set of 3D glasses for my 55" Samsung 8000 series LED TV but it would be nice to have 3D in the study for use with the PS3. I expected the TV to have a good picture (BB did not have one on display at the store so I had to take this on faith) but I was stunned at just how great the picture truly is - it is absolutely fantastic. I know the spec says 720 but go ahead and compare it to a 1080 set - I think you will be as impressed as I was."

"Picture quality could not be better. Colors are deep and rich.
The 3D is absolutly breathtaking. Clean and clear.
The set up easy using the book that was provided. I connected it to a home theater system and a Samsung 3D blueray disk player and the sound is excellent.
If you have doubts about the 720P Plazma TV you can forget them. Its picture quality is better than or equal to the LCD or LED. I am very satisfied with this product and would recomend it to everybody.

"I got this as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it! The 3D is a great feature but he is most impressed with the refresh rate and how it handles his video games. Overall, we are more than satisfied with the tv. We definitely recommend it and would never buy another product outside of a Samsung line. The quality, performance, and value is better than any others out there!"

"The TV was out of the box, on the stand, and working in minutes. It looks great and was simple to setup. It's working great for lots and lots of video game playing. And with the 3D blu-ray also purchased, it has been a great way to experience the new 3D TV functionality without spending a crazy amount."

"For years we've had a 55" Sony 1080p and this television far surpasses that set. The display is bright and brilliant with excellent contrast and black values. The room that I have our new Samsung is a bright two level living room with a lot of windows. I was worried about getting a plasma due to the potential glare but I have had no issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend this to family and friends."

"Having come from a Visio 1080P I wasnt expecting much with this being a 720p. I am glad to say that I was dead wrong. This TV blows away my old tv. I watch alot of TV and game on this TV quite often and the differnce is night and day. I love the 3D for the PS3 and the 3D blurays. Even though it says its only 720 it will play the games at 1080. It has turned me from a 3D skeptic to a 3D addict."

"My loving wife bought this TV for the family and I for Christmas ( after months of subtle hints). WOW, is all I can say about the picture quality and intense color this TV delivers. The TV we replaced was only about 6 years old but what a difference. The 3-D content was far superior to what we have been expecting as well, with more depth than we had seen in the display model at the store. Awesome in all regards. Thank you for a fine product."

"So far a wonderful tv. The clarity is incredible. I can't tell the difference between this 720p and 1080p.
The 3D is really amazing. We got two pairs of glasses with the TV. There's a 3D movie on Comcast that has a globe of the world that comes out from the screen. I couldn't quite reach it with my hand but I grabbed the remote and was able to stick it into the center of the globe."

"The picture quality is very good after a few tweaks. My parents recently bought a 55" Samsung LED 3D TV for over twice the price of this television and the picture quality is not that much better. I also have experiences with older generation plasma televisions, and this one is completely different. I would check this television out before wasting money on more expensive models.

The sound is actually not that bad. I hooked up a pair of computer speakers to incorporate a sub for slightly deeper sound, but overall the included speakers are okay.

The 3D aspect is cool but the glasses are too expensive currently and a 3D blu-ray player is necessary to play 3D films. Given that plus the limited selection of 3D films on the market I have yet to watch 3D movies on my tv. I have played Call of Duty Black Ops in 3D though and was blown away."

"I work for an electronics retailer, so on a nearly daily basis I get to test some aspect of all of the 3d televisions currently available. Plasma 3d is definitely the way to go, less ghosting in plasma vs. LED and LCD models. Got it home, set it up and with the press of one button I was watching my regular cable station in 3d, the other plasma 3d, which costs twice as much does not offer native 2d to 3d conversion. Very happy with my purchase, just waiting for more movies to be released."

"This was a great buy when i purchased it at the beginning of this year. I didn't want to write a review until I had used the unit for a while.

Break-in is KEY... even tho they don't talk about it in the manual I found that i would get fast image retention for the first few months. At times so bad it was borderline burn-in image. So do your research when looking at a plasma TV.

IMAGE QUALITY ROCK SOLID!!!

I wish the unit had TV Apps and a built in network connection because I had to purchase a thumb drive to update the firmware.

Sound isn't so bad off the unit and it does give off some heat but my computer gives off just as much idle..

I felt that the optic out could support pass through so i didn't have to run every bit of electronics threw my surround sound before my TV.

The optic out and lack of TV apps was the reason for a few 4 stars.. Otherwise this would get a 5 star rating in my book."

Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color

Cons: not 1080p

"We have had this plasma/3d for about 7 months and the picture is fantastic, we did not even use the 3D feature until this past week, I was bored and said to the wife let's setup the 3D and watch a movie. At one point during the movie we thought the snow was in our family room. Wow!!
I think I am going to be a 3D junky."

"This product needs an upgrade to make better use of the Pip feature..Having the PIp feature atteached to the Air or other port without the option to switch it is very cruel..."

"Replaced my 60hz LG 42lh30 lcd with this this samsung due to the features that I would gain for the price I was going to pay. Bigger screen, Great brand, and 3D. Couldnt pass this tv up.

Ive had it for about a month now and im happy with my plasma purchase. I like the connectivity to my PS3...tv turns on when Ps3 is turned on, also I can use the samsung remote to control the ps3. And the fact that the ps3 is my 3d bluray player, i was watching 3d movies and playing 3d games out the box."

"I bought this 3D tv from a big box store about 3 weeks ago, so far everything is good. I wish they would recommend settings for the best 3d expirence. Every one that has looked at a 3d movie on this television has liked it very much. Looking forward to more movies in 3d. Keep up the good work."

"this plasma tv is very nice but you can see the image that was just shown for a min or so ( I was paying my Dish bill thought the tv and I could see the dish billing image longer than it took me to pay the bill). The tv has good sound when I'm watching tv, but as soon as I watch a dvd or blu-ray movie I have to turn the sound all the way up to hear it. Remember to turn it back down before you turn the station lol. The 3D is very nice but the tv has turn off on my 2 times or so for why watching a movie., not sure why but may be from the samsung blu-ray player? these are just some of the bad things overall it is a very nice set if you can handle these little things."

Cons: Did not meet expectations

"I own this for about 1 month now. watched 3D movies and played PS3 3D games. 3D gaming experience is more immersive than movies. maybe due to the intensity of gaming. glasses is still a problem sometimes. out of sync happens more often than expected. ghosting is another problem. hope the glasses can be replaced with a newer model."

"The Overall product is quite nice. I'm fond of Plasma's because of the fact that I game so I decided this was the TV for me for the price. The fact it was 3D was the best part of it.
The only issue I have with this TV is that for some reason, no matter what 3D movie I decide to play on it, the corners of the TV are very blurry no matter how I look at the TV. There is nothing I can do about it, or so it seems to me. I have seen other TV's play the same movies I try in 3D with no blurring on the edges, perhaps because its 720P? I don't know, it is just really annoying.
Perhaps this is just mine, but sometimes the TV will just turn off, then on, then off, then on. This of course happens after I turn the TV on. It has never just randomly turned on to my knowledge. I have checked every cable and nothing is loose. I don't know what but that annoys the sh** out of me when I'm gaming."

Cons: 3d appears to lack quality

"I own 2 55" LED LCD Samsungs ( a 6000 series and a 8000 series ). I know this plasma is not 1080p and is smaller than my other two, but the HD that plays on this television is not that bad. I purchased this unit to experiance the 3D and I can say I love playing Call Of Duty Black Ops in 3D. After my experiance I believe Samsung is still on top of its game and will definitly purchase the 65" LED LCD television."
