"I am very impressed with my Samsung Refridgerator! We buy all Samsung products when available because my husband believes they have the best quality. My fridge beats all of the professional/commercial ones I have looked at. The Samsung is built solid and has so much space. I can keep filling it with food and it never seems to get full! The digital controls are simple yet work like a charm. My favorite is the instant freeze button that will cool something quickly. I love this one more than any other I have looked at."

"Aside from that it is a great looking fridge, it is so spacious inside. We are a family of 5 and can fit so much in the fridge and freezer. The french doors are great.
We used to have a second chest freezer and also a second fridge in the garage. We got rid of the chest freezer and I rarely use the garage fridge. There is really not much need for them."

First the freezer unit got progressively warmer and finally the refrigerator section began doing the same, Hopefully your repair service will be able to fix it SOON! "I went looking for another brand. Didn't even know Samsung made good refrigerators, but, this is the best refrigerator I have ever had. I love that I have so much room and places to put things. I didn't think I would get much use with the bottom drawer in the top section but it is great place to store bottled water and drinks to "chill". The only down side was it did't come in a cream color."

"Very well designed product!!! So many products today are poorly designed and you swear the company never had a "user" test the product. This is a major exception, this refrigerator is awesome! Very easy to set up, water filter was very easy to install compaired to our old refrigerator. Water line had a great designed fitting. Can't think of anything i do not like about it."

"This fridge could have been the prefect Refridgerator if it had been tested properly. I'm sure this could have been transformed. The meat draw in a great feature but you always have to open both doors to get to it. This could have been avoided by having a split drawer, The other feature that keeps this model from perfection is the water and ice dispenser. The problem is ice misses the glass and you have to pick up off your floor. The water shoots sideways and often misses your glass. Extremely hard to fill water bottle. Often times you will have to wipe out the water in spill tray and down the front of your fridge. This however does help you keep this area nice and tidy."

"What's amazing about this fridge is the fact that it's comparable in size to a lot of the 26 cf fridges but still has the same footprint. I love all of the space that it provides. The only con for this fridge for me is how the water dispenser is slightly tilted toward the fridge, thus making it difficult to fill up tall water bottles."

"We'd just purchased a new house and finally had room for a larger fridge, so we looked around and settled on this one. It's one of the best purchases we've ever made. The amount of stuff you can fit into this fridge is simply ridiculous. We frequently put the entire crock pot into the fridge whenever we make chili since it easily fits on the bottom shelf. Fridge-packs of soda are a perfect fit under the ice maker, and the pull-out "party drawer" is a life-saver for awkward things like pizza boxes (it'll hold 2 boxes stacked on top of each other). We generally buy 2-3 weeks worth of food at a time and don't even come close to filling the fridge or freezer. It's like a cave in there.

A lot of people seem to complain about the ice maker, but ours works like a champ. I've got a half-gallon water-jug that I fill up a few times a day with ice and water. The water dispenser has an automatic cut-off sensor that prevents it from completely filling the jug in one go (so it doesn't accidentally run all day if a glass got left in it), but all I need to do is press the switch again. Great feature in my opinion.

If I was going to nit-pick anything at all on the fridge, it'd be that it takes a while to switch back to "cube" ice after my wife uses the "crushed" ice feature. It does eventually go back, but I get a mix of the two for a while. It doesn't actually bother me, but that's the closest thing I've got to a complaint on this fridge. If someone gave me any new fridge I wanted, I'd definitely get this one again."

"I see the energy savings on my electric bill. I wouldn't have thought it could make a significant difference, but it has. The only thing that is less than satisfying is the ice maker. It's loud and the capacity is too small if more than 4 people are around. This is Florida, so we do use a lot of ice. Otherwise, it's the best of the French doors and I'm very satisfied. Oh, and one little bit of advice: Once the ice delivery system stops. Wait a second or two before removing your glass. Too often there is a latecomer cube."

"This Samsung RFG297AABP refrigerator arrived yesterday. I am so pleased with it. Should have bought it sooner and wish I'd had it years ago when the kids were little. After careful measuring, DH and I and the clerk decided it would fit, but at delivery time, I panicked a little. The delivery crew knew how to get it into the house. They took my front door off the hinges, and opened the fridge doors to slide it into the kitchen in a diagonal line. The front door was put back together without reminders and I bet that crew would win an award if they had a contest. And no, I am not a Samsung employee and neither is anyone in my family. I just give praise where it is due. Plenty of room on the top for 13 x 9 baking dishes and large size pizza boxes. I can just about see everything at once, and not have to go searching like I used to in my old narrow side by side for the missing sour cream, or the hot sauce that, once found, was nothing more than a fuzzy distant memory. I cook a lot, and this fridge has plenty of space for all my various ethnic cuisine goodies without having to go digging around. It has a water filter reachable from the interior (as opposed to the old side by side's impossible to get to back of the fridge). Also, this fridge has 2 nifty options for quick cooling the fridge and the freezer. Instead of waiting 24 hours to be usable, it super cooled itself in some 3+ hours (and then turned off this feature without my having to remember). I could go on and on.
I have noticed that other people complain about the ice maker - I do not find that it is any noisier than the prevous side by side fridge - so that's not an issue. In fact, it's a little quieter and so is the motor! Like I said, should have bought it sooner."

"Truly love this refrigerator. We had to replace a 22 yr old side by side. I really like the French doors and the Deli drawer. The lighting is wonderful, my old side by side was dark and things got lost. My only complaint is about the ice maker. It is really loud, when the ice drops, the cat jumps. I kn ew this from other reviews I read.
Refrigerator overall is very quiet. Lots of space and the shelving that splits and folds up are extremely useful.
I did a lot of research before I bought this product."

"I HATED my side-by-side! Thought it was a good idea at the time,but after 5 years I was like the lady in the commericals taking an ax to it.Power surges intervened and it died.We had to wait OVER 1 MONTH for it,but it was SO WORTH IT!!! I told my husband to 'get over the price' as this was the only frig coming through our door.He hates to admit that this was a great purchase.I cook for our family of 6 and this frig can hold all the pan/pots/leftovers/milk cartons I put in.LOVE the freezer and am thankful for the chiming bell when a door isn't closed."

"Overall we are satisfied with unit. We like the size and the bottom freezer concept. It is realitvely inexpensive to operate relative to it's size. Our only complaint is the icemaker. It's very noisy, ice harvest is a small amount which is frustrating. Our previous refrigerator made at least twice the amount of ice. Additionally, we have had to replace the the icemaker and the repairman is to come out next week to replace the computer board as the unit has stopped making ice again."

"This product has lots of door space and inner space. We have only 3 complaints. I wish that at least one of the door spaces had a cover for milk to keep it cooler. The milk just doesn't stay cool enough in the door. The ice maker has jammed on us once, but was easily fixed. The top drawer on the freezer does not pull out when you open the freezer. I really like all the door space that is available. I also like that the light comes on gradually and doesn't blind you. The shelves design of being able to push up or push in is very convenient for taller items. For a large family or someone that tends to get a lot of food this is a great fridge."

"I've had it 7 months and now there is enough frost on one section freezer to think my Snoopy Snow Cone machine is haunting me - and as soon as I clear it away it comes right back. Even worse, one of the shelf holders on the door has a crack the size of the grand canyon - can't even hold my tea."

"after much research and consideration I purchased this unit thinking it was going to be a good unit that would last me 15-20 years like my last one. I doubt very seriously that will happen now. There has already been a water line leak in the door, built in filter if bumped will leak, operation is extremely noisy and ice product is the worst I have ever experienced. If you entertain occasionally or at best moderately do not buy this unit, you will be very displeased."

"I purchased this refrigerator on JD Powers recommendation and Lowe's reputation while we were replacing the old one. After a year, the filters need changing every six months, the vegetables are freezing and I get icy food in the refrigerator section and the vegetable bins. The spoiled vegetables are one of the reasons I got rid of the old Kenmore.
I am very disappointed in a frige that has been operating less than two years."
