"Bought this great fridge in last year. Absolutely love the capacity, French door convenience, two section freezer, but MOST of all, the cool drawer for beverages. I can fit 56 cans of pop and beer into the drawer. No need to open the whole fridge to grab a drink. We love the variety of temp settings and the ability to set the fridge, freezer and beverage drawer temps independently.

The freezer keeps foods at an even temperature, the coldest Ive ever seen in a non-commercial freezer. The whole unit runs so quietly we can never tell if it is running or not by the lack of sound. No more shouting at each other "sorry, dear, cant hear you the fridge is running!"

Unlike other stainless appliances, the surface is easy to clean without leaving streaks. A quick wipe with a damp paper towel or Windex does the trick.

This fridge has plenty of adjustable shelves, holds 2 gallons of milk in the DOOR easily and all the shelving and interior drawers are see-thru.
It is well worth the price as we love the way it looks and performs."

"My wife and I purchased this refrigerator when we moved in to our first house.. we have had this refrigerator for over two years and absolutely love it. Love the freezer compartment. Holds a lot of groceries. The only thing that we noticed it that the ice in the icebox gets jammed if we don't clean it out every 2-3 months or so.. "This is a beautiful refrigerator with a lot of options and features. The LCD light is a great feature that allows you to see everything clearly. Shelving is movable to allow for your personal settings. The chill feature in the large bottom drawer is wonderful for storing lunch meats and cheeses.
The only negative is the doors can be difficult to close. A normal push doesn't close them. I know this will improve as I get used to it. Thank goodness for the door alarm!"

"I bought this refrigerator about 6 months ago. I am very satisfied. I gave it a high rating due to its overall performance. I have not had any problems with the refrigerator keeping my food cold. I have never owned a Samsun or a french door designed Refrigerator. I like the french doors. there is so much room. The freezer is a little bit for me to get used to. I am not usually impressed with a basket design freezer. It forces you to stack things on top of each other. What ever you are looking for seems to always be at the bottom so you have to dig through everything to get to it. With a little organization you can probably remedy this. The Ice and water dispenser work great. The filter will need to be change about every 6 month which is recommended by the manufacturer. I do taste a slight difference in the quality of the water at about 5 and a half months. The water in my town is really dirty. So I would gage 6 months to be a good estimate.

There a few features that I also like about the refrigerator. You can manually set the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator by utilizing the digital display located on the left door. I have not encountered any leaks or defects in this model. This unit is also set at a competitive price. If you are in the market for a new refrigerator then I would definitely recommend this one."

"What I like; design and location of the drawers, large interior space, fairly large freezer size, digital display panel (ice type, temp setting, etc.)

What I would change; ice container is somewhat small, makes a strange knocking sound every once in a while (only lasts for a minute and not all that loud.)

We bought this 3 years ago and, overall we are very happy with this refrigerator. The drawers are huge and well designed. You can fit just about anything in this baby. Temp is consistent, it runs quietly except for that occasional knock but does not happen frequently. We would definitely buy another Samsung refrigerator and we have recommended this one to our friend."

"Last January we took delivery of our new Samsung refridgerator and could not be more pleased with our purchase. It has so much space on the inside in both the top portion and the freezer. I couldn 't believe all of the freezer space and how easily I could arrange things in order making it so easy to find what I was looking for. In other freezers I would get frustrated trying to move things around all the time trying to find something. I also love to keep bottled water and teas in the Cool Select Pantry to save even more space. I have recommended this refridgerator to two of our friends and they love theirs also. It is very quiet except for the initial filling of the ice bin when we first got it. We did a lot of research before making our purchase and are so happy with our decision. This is a great fridge and we love it!"

"Huge freezer. Great French-door fridge with lot of space. Able to configure how you like it. Compartments in the door hold lots of items and well laid out to store those small jar condiments up at the top. Only knock on the design, which has been repeated elsewhere, is with the ice/water dispenser. It takes time to master using the cube/crushed ice and water dip. I still get a small puddle of water on the floor now and then. Love the front display and the LED lighting inside and at the dispenser. I would buy another Samsung product and we just purchased a top-end front-load steam clothes washer. Great products."

"We specifically didn't want the ice and water dispenser in the door. Our model (without ice/water) arrived and was installed, but within a day, it quit cooling.
The service department first told us it was probably an electrical surge in the house that caused the problem. So, an on-site technician was scheduled. Upon further checking, the problem turned out to be the compressor. And it was a fault with the manufacturing process.
The sales department said our exact model wasn't available, so we upgraded to this model. We love the bottom freezer, and the features inside the fridge compartment.
Door storage is very convenient and deep enough to hold pretty big bottles of soda or wine. The trays are nice, too."

"We had an oldy go out on us, and we knew we needed to make the necessary big leaps to upgrade to a bigger, better fridge. We knew we wanted the look of stainless, wished they actually made a version in clean-steel or the look alike since stainless is such a pain to clean, but knew that going into it. We love the space (although doors lack for lots of condiments) but it has plenty of space in the fridge itself. Love the slide out deli drawer, love my climate controlled crispers! We had our water on a RO system, so we can't use the water filter for the ice/water maker or the water doesn't end up coming out fast enough. Our water does tend to drip occasionally after you fill up a cup, but I just wipe it up when I walk by. Love the freezer space and drawer, easy to use, and separate things. The fridge is VERY quiet. Love the LED lighting, and the design of it. Overall we are very happy. Kid-friendly buttons including the child-lock :)"

"Can a fridge be stunning to look at? You betcha! Don't skimp with your new fridge because it is the centerpiece of your kitchen. With it's gently curving doors, smooth stainless finish and awesome LED lighting, this baby is as close to sexy as an appliance can get.

I'm finding that food stays fresher longer, milk is good a week after the expiration date and meats don't get funky after a few days. And it's so quiet, I was checking to see if it was even turned on.

The crisper and deli drawers have a nice smooth feel as you pull them out. The door bins are sturdy. I just wish there was another one included and with closer-set height adjustments. I bought an extra deli drawer divider to help keep everything organized. I might do that with the freezer as well. The folding and collapsible shelves add versatility. Unfortunately, the icemaker eats up some valuable shelf space and bins on the left door have a dimished capacity. But there's still a lot of usable room. Much more than my 10 year old side by side. I took all of it's contents plus that of an 18 CF top freezer fridge and easily incorporated into the Samsung.

Complaints about the icemaker being noisey are just nitpicking. Ice will make noise as it falls into the bin. It's just a law of nature. Every fridge I've owned with an icemaker made a similar noise. Make a game of it. When the ice dumps, close your eyes and imagine you're in a bowling alley and yell, "Strike!". Always good for a chuckle. We had only minimal ice output at first, but the more we used it, production seemed to ramp up. We haven't run out since.

French doors take a little getting used to initially. Because of the door "flipper", it's best to close the left door first. And make sure it closes all the way. Unlike a side by side, there's a little resistance so pay attention. The open door chime has come in handy many times.

I've also seen a drop in our electric bill. This may be in part because we're in between heating and cooling seasons or possibly the better efficiency of our new Samsung refrigerator. Only time will tell with that."

Pros: Durable, sexy! no really!, awesome led lighting in fridge and freezer, solid shelving and bins, drawers glide nicer than most, quiet. like it's not even plugged in, mammoth interior, real stainless steel. not stainless-like, got a good deal

Cons: ice maker eats up a fair amount of room, water dispenser a little sloppy, need closer set door bin adjustments, need at least one more door bin

"In the same footprint of our old side-by-side refrigerator, we now have over 4 cu. ft. more space. The interior design makes it seem even larger, and the ability to customize the shelving and pockets maximizes the already large space. The display takes the guesswork out of temperature setting, the freezer compartment has a tremendous amount of usable room. In our open plan house, you see the kitchen when you come in the front door, and the refrigerator looks great, so that is not a problem. Our friends are looking for excuses to buy a new refrigerator."

"We had this installed a couple weeks ago and so far it has been great. We got rid of a Maytag 26.5 side by side that we had for 11 years and we thought that one had a lot of room. This one has much more useable space. I love how it can be configured so many ways to accommodate different size items.

The temperature controlled slide out drawer also works very well. You don't have to have the doors all the way open to slide out the drawer. This was a big plus for us, and one of the reasons we chose Samsung over LG. We have set the drawer for chilled and keep our meats and cheese in it. It works great and has plenty of room.

The humidity drawers also seem to work well. Big surprise, because I have never had a fridge work well in this regard.

The freezer poses a little bit of a challenge since we are not used to a bottom freezer, but I think that is just us getting used to it.

Temperature is maintained properly. My only real complaint is when crushed ice is dispensed it tends to splatter a bit and make a mess on the stainless.

If anything changes I will report back."

"I have had my new fridge for about six weeks now and just love it! The space in it is awesome and get a joy everytime I open the doors! Never thought I would say I had a sexy fridge, but she is just stunning in my kitchen! Don't agree with all the negative on the ice maker mine is fine. There is just the two of us but I didn't buy it for the ice maker. The amount of space was the selling feature for me. If a crowd is coming I have no problem getting a couple of bags of ice to have on hand."

"This is the first refrigerator that we have had that doesn't at some point freeze food in the refrigerator section. (Had a Maytag.) Press one button to see actual temperatures in freezer and refrigerator. Looks great. The only thing I would change is to have more space on the doors for small items. (It is geared for large containers.) Love the pantry drawer but you have to open both doors to access it. Also thought the freezer might be hard to access but found tons of room and easy to find whatever I want. So far we are delighted."

"We've owned this fridge for a year now and I'm still in love with it. Yes, the ice dropping in the bucket is loud, but we honestly don't notice it unless the bucket is completely empty. The filters are expensive, so we run it thru our R/O unit that services all our drinking water - problem solved! It is huge!! Remember having to 'clean out' the fridge a week before Thanksgiving to make room for the turkey and everything else - forget it. We had a 27lb turkey thawing for a couple of days, and kept adding pre-cooked sides--the potatoes, the stuffings, the deserts!! And we still ate normal meals in the days before The Feast. Now that's space.
My son and his friends have tested the water/ice dispenser. I'm glad that 'making it beep' no longer thrills them. They've found to make Mom happy, simply hold the glass under for the extra nano-second to catch the last drip of water...no more hard water stains on the lovely stainless drip tray. Another issue solved.
Love it !"

"not only is this unit storage capacity the best but it looks good .great engineering is a talent. great engineers need great service backup. i've heard bad news about this unit but i know a great engineered unit will have its breakdowns.i know because my life was spent proving engineered products work in the field as well as on paper.i've been a troubleshooter for star wars flowtronic electronic chillers at the state dept.as well as naval tracking stations.i was the best and i proved united technology is great but it takes a well trained mind to make equipment perform.this unit with its isolated refridgeration systems is todays energy saver.the door seals are the best the lighting is the best. the access is the best. give me samsung or give me JESUS."

"My favorite appliance ever! Just open it & you see why...you can see everything w/the terrific LED lighting--even in the freezer. Easy to clean. More door space than any other fridge w/icemaker. Party drawer is extremely useful as is the Power Cool & Power Freeze. Easy to replace filter w/warning light that tells you when. Dings if you leave the door ajar. From reading reviews, I was concerned about the size of the icemaker, so when entertaining I just bag some the day before for "insurance" although I've never needed it. Can't think of anything I don't like about it. And it's gorgeous! So glad I bought it."

"The freezer drawers don't have those ugly grids which catch ice. It has a great pull-out drawer for small things,
and a large bin for the bigger stuff. The refrigerator is
well-lit and its much easier to find things than the other refrigerators that I've had. For the money, this product is

"Wow! I'm not big on appliances but we've definitely made the right choice with this one. Plenty of space for all food items(sizes and shapes). The dual ice maker is a major benefit. I always heard that stainless steel is a drag to keep clean. We used Pledge (yes, the wood cleaner product) and it works well. NOTE: spray it on the cloth and not directly on the refrigerator. The ice maker is a little noisy when the ice drops but nothing to complain about. This is our first Samsung appliance and we are quite happy with it."

"How can you be in your 70's and still be amazed by these new fangled contraptions. When we put Mr. Huge in our kitchen I couldn't believe all it took into it's inards. i emptied a side-by-side frig and a small chest freezer into those drawers and still had room for more. I would have to say it's energy efficient, I was able to shut off the old freezer. I have enjoyed all the frig's drawers an innovative features it presents. After a year of use I could never look back. I would advise all growing families to invest in this French Door beauty."

"I've had this refrigerator for over a year now and I love the size and the layout of the interior. Very well designed! The engineers have outdone themselves. I can't believe they crammed an extra cubic YARD into the same footprint without sacrificing performance. Haven't had any trouble with the product. We do an obscene amount of research on big ticket items before we buy and we haven't been disappointed. Since we're so happy with this refrigerator, we just bought the Samsung 419 washer and dryer. "After 10 months in our home, not one bad thing can we say about this refrigerator, all good, freezer works great too, Ice Cream hard as a rock. Plenty of room inside, we have stainless thats easy to keep clean. The biggest feature is the dual condensers for keeping top & bottom at the right temp. without tranfering smells from one part to the other. I have learned that Samsung is Quilty One on every product i have purchased."

"Finally decided to ditch our 25 year old GE side by side - saw this Samsung at Sears and absolutely HAD to have it - great interior lighting, great layout, biggest machine they had, great reputation of Samsung products - it all fit. It was delivered 4 days later - almost would not fit through the doors - the installers had to remove both front doors and carry the machine up the back stairs leading to our deck to get it into the kitchen. Looks great next to my new stainless steel dishwasher. One little annoyance: it's a little loud when the ice maker dispenses ice cubes. We are very happy to have made this purchase!!"

"I'm very happy with this purchase. I've had it for just over a year and it is great.
It holds a lot of food, but you do need some good organizational skills to keep the piles straight in the freezer compartment.
The only minor issue is the ice maker. It is loud when the cubes fall into the plastic bin and it doesn't make that much ice. There are only two of us, so normally we have plenty of ice, but when my brother comes to visit we do run out. So, that could be an issue for larger families.
You also have to be careful when you get ice since you're never sure how much will come out at any given instant. There is also a slight delay, so you can remove your glass and more ice comes out, which goes straight to the floor."

"A large interior without sacrificing space in the kitchen. From the bright lighting, creative interior compartments, solid door hinges and freezer drawer, and digital programming and temperature flexibility, this unit is a quality build. Only flaw is the ice maker. It spits ice all over the floor when dispensing. Overall, the good points far outweigh the ice maker issue."

"Bought our Samsung fall of '08. As I looked at all the
floor models of many brands what first sold me was the
LED lights. Love having the ceiling light and a light on the
back wall. Every time I open my frig. doors the lights hit
me, its like the light of God and I can imagine the angels
singing. Crazy, I know but that is how much I love this
frig. The stainless steel is glorious. Weiman stainless steel Wipes will make it shine back at you like a mirror. My kitchen is
really too small for the size but my heart was set on this
one and I plan to someday remodel the kitchen around the
refrigerator. I show mine off to everyone who walks thru the door. Trust me you'll love it."

"We completely renovated our kitchen, and one of the most important purchases was the fridge. We spent a lot of time thinking through what would work and what wouldn't. One of the considerations was that we need to have enough room in the fridge/freezer for significant storage, so that we don't have to have another fridge/freezer in the garage. This unit fills the bill. It's got an amazing capacity, especially the huge freezer. Some have complained that it's got a noisy ice-maker. Well, we've certainly heard it, but it's not like it runs constantly. If we've used the ice-maker a lot, then it'll clunk a few times, but it's not really noticable after you notice it the first couple of times. (E.g., I heard it in the middle of the night, couldn't figure out what it was, so I got up with baseball bat in hand... duhh, it was the fridge. I didn't do that again.)

We think it's quite stylish, and it fits well, given the tiny kitchen that we have (this is the largest unit available for the spot).

The controls are easy to use and intuitive. The shelves are endlessly adjustable. If I have to quibble, it would be nice to have a way for the water overflow to drain automatically (never heard of such a thing, but...).

One strange but logical thing is that the ice/water won't work unless the doors are completely closed (they ding when left open too long, but it's possible to miss that). This fooled me into thinking something was tragically wrong, but then I heard the ding....

If I had to do it all over again, I would have insisted on a 1/4" larger opening for the fridge. It's a tight fit, even though the dimensions are accurate."

"The overall refrigeration , ice making , water dispenser and freezer operation is good , no breakdowns in operation.

The actual essential plastic parts and bins for this item are awful.
We purchased because of big family (we have total of six people) and needed the room and space. It is used daily by 6 people.
The plastic drawers have cracked the shelves have cracked. I have to buy new replacement drawers and shelves, and side holding containers. The ice dispenser push release (where you hold your cup to activate the dispenser) has broken and is hanging by a thread , it needs replacing as well.

Overall if not many people are using this fridge on daily basis then it would suffice and is nice looking. This units sturdiness in heavier usage fails to keep up with the demand."

Pros: Bright display, refrigeration works well

Cons: Did not meet expectations, plastic parts breakdown easily

"doesn't make enough Ice or cold water, ice maker had to be replaced right after a year no warranty and the component materials (drawer doors) are not very strong break easy, had to replace a couple otherwise very nice"

"My first Big Fridge..We love it..We just had our first Thanksgiving with it and boy does it hold a lot..The top shelf drops down and we were able to fit our 22lb turkey in the fridge with ease..Then all the containers of leftovers it held..Awesome..The freezer is amazing...really big and holds a lot..The only thing that bugs us is the water drips after dispensing water and the water marks it leaves on our stainless steel..Other than that it's great.."
