"Wow! My kitchen looks so updated and cool! This new Samsung side by side fits in perfectly and is so quiet! I read all the reviews before purchasing and was afraid that I would get one that made noise, but the one we got so far is very quiet! I don't even hear it running! It has lots of storage space and it is so bright inside! Love the LED lights! Love the ice maker being on the freezer door so there is more room inside to store food items! We make miniature ice cubes to put into the ice bucket (our house water tastes awful), so we can still use the ice dispenser and ice crusher. Thanks Samsung! So far, very happy with our new product!"

"The icemaker feature is rather small, bur for my wife and I it is sufficient. The button in the door is not easy to push in with the glass. You need to entirely remove the ice container in the door to get large quantities of ice. Icemaker is not user friendly, otherwise we love the look, and the performance so far has been great. Also, love the lighting inside the refrigerator!"

"I haven't bought a refrigerator since 1989 so I was shocked at how much they had changed. I looked for months but finally decided on this counter depth refrigerator and I am delighted with it. I like that it is energy efficient, the bright lights, the twin cooling system, the overall look of it. I was worried that I wouldn't have enough room but everything fits very nicely. Love the built in wine racket. Didn't really care if it had a water dispenser but I have quickly adapted to having crushed ice. Just love this refrigerator."

"This is not really a review but an explanation of how to turn the door light off, since there is alot of confusion of how to do this on the web...
Bascially, take a real magnet and put it on top of the door hinge, (above the word switch) leave the door open and move the magnet around until you find the spot that makes the light turn off... then turn the door closed slowly to make sure that the light does not turn back on in the process... if the light turns on, then turn the magnet around to the other side and that should take care of it...
notes: 1. you have to use a real magnet for this to work, not a paper magnet 2. samsung uses an electric magnet at the door hings which if aligned means that the door is closed and this way the door is tricked"

"Refrigerator design inside and outside is great. Plenty of space inside. Operates quietly. Stainless steel harder to keep looking clean but that is the nature of stainless products. Happy I went with the counter depth. No problems with operation of the refrigerator. LED interior lighting looks cool! I've been a long-time user of Samsung products and this is another great purchase."

"I purchased this refrigerator to replace an old energy hog. It was also my 1st fridge with an ice/water dispenser. I love that I can get fresh chilled filtered water and cubes. The interior lighting panels in both the freezer and fridge are wonderful. I was a bit concerned about the interior size (smaller than my previous model) but found the benefits -- clear lighting, easy movement of drawers and shelves, easy to clean -- more than outweighed the size. Also love the energy conservation on my bill!"

"Really great fridge. We needed a counter depth refrigerator for our new home and we knew we wanted a Samsung because of all their great reviews. I really wanted a french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom but they were all so big that there was no way it would fit in our space. After receiving this fridge, I have NO regrets. Everything about it is perfect! It has plenty of room and I love the blue interior lights. The through the door ice/water dispenser is super handy. "Recently we decided to upgrade the kitchen appliances in our condo from white to energy star stainless. We shopped at every major appliance store, researched web-sites, read consumer reports and on-line customer feedback. The moment I opened this refrigerator I knew it would be perfect for our family of 2. We shopped around and compared specs, features and prices of many other refrigerator freezers and ultimately came back to this one. Waiting for a holiday - we were able to get a significant discount by insisting that a manager at Lowe's honor the "beat the competitor's advertised price" when we showed him the ad from another local retailer. The only problems we had were the fact that the height is more than stated on the product's spec sheet and a bit wider as well so give yourself at least 1" if not 2" in height and width to accommodate the hinges."

"Looks great. Very quiet. stylish water/ice dispenser. Large interior capacity. great interior lighting. Only frustrating negatives are the shelves and door bin configuration. The upper gallon door bin is too high, and therefore interferes with the can holder. The salad drawers do not open very far (but I've got used to them quickly) and the wine / bottle rack is too close to the top glass shelf to hold a 2L bottle of pop. Apart from these annoying design issues that could have been easily thought through, the rest is great and we are very happy."

"Have owned this refrigerator for a little over 6 months now, and can only report one (minor) problem. The built-in ice maker/dispenser decides at random whether you will be receiving crushed ice or just regular cubed ice. Making a selection is more like making a request, which can be very frustrating. Other than that inconvenience it's the best fridge I've ever purchased."

"I bought this refrigerator for a kitchen remodel and wanted something that looked really nice. I had to keep it in my bedroom for a few weeks until they finished my kitchen. What I found out was that it is super quiet! I really like how cold the freezer is and how well it crushes ice. The first refrigerator Lowe's delivered was damaged. Samsung immediately replaced it no questions asked. Fantastic customer service!"

"This is a great fridge. The style and appearance would elevate the look of any kitchen. The consistent use of stainless gives it a uniform look, the ice dispenser doesn't stand out with black trim like on most models. Great interior design, except the drawers. If anything restricts the right door from opening all the way you can not fully open the drawers. Buy small heads of lettuce."

"We were going through a major kitchen remodel, the first appliances we looked at were refrigerators. Our previous fridge was over 20 years old. We loved the look and features of this one, but wrestled with the smaller capacity (counter depth). Since there are only 2 of us, we forged ahead. I really wanted the ice maker in the door so we could have more room in the freezer, despite the bad reviews of stuck ice. I also love the gallon storage and 3 drawers for veggies and cold cuts. My husband loved the fact of having crushed or cubed ice and nice, cold water at your fingertips. He also loved the LED lighting and the quietness, compared to our old one! We haven't experienced the handles coming off, and it is a little harder getting lettuce in and out of the drawer, but overall, I'd say we made the right choice! Along with the refrigerator, we also purchased a Samsung electric range and over the hood microwave. Those reviews to follow."

"I love everything about this refrig...it makes my kitchen look so great. Compared to our old one it has so much room, it is so quiet - the lights inside are great and I love the crushed ice. The only negative is that the shelf that retracts is about an inch too low. Who designed this?...all they had to do was take a quart of milk and they would have known it would not fit. I RESOLVED this problem on the quarts of juice and milk that come in a carton, I cut about a quarter inch from the top and it then fits!"

"I saved & researched for almost a year before purchasing a refrigerator. I had concerns about this one because of some of the reviews concerning the icemaker being small, the drawers not pulling out far enough and issues with the handles. The icemaker is more than adequeate for a family of 4 or 5 unless you are huge ice users. The vegetable drawers don't pull out very far, but I looked at many others that didn't either, so as far as I was concerned it wasn't a big deal. We purchased from Lowe's and the delivery & setup were exceptional...no problem with our handles like I had read. This refrigerator looks beautiful in my kitchen. The counter depth sizing is perfect."

"The counter depth was critical due to the layout of my kitchen, and is a perfect fit. The only downside is veggie drawer does not open far enough, difficult to fit a head of lettice into drawer. Also, the shelf that retracts should set higher, taller items such as milk, soda bottles will not fit underneath. Other than those two items I very happy with purchase."

"Overall, this frig is great. If someone from Samsung ever looks here, I have 2 complaints/suggestions:
1) The low shelf should be about 1/2 inch taller. You can slide part of the shelf above it out of the way to kake it taller, but with all shelves in place, it should hold a gallon of milk.

"This counter depth refrigerator was purchased because we are remodeling the kitchen and replaced a standard depth 24 cf unit. Interestingly, despite being the same size in cf, it organizes and holds much more food than our old refrigerator. I must confess that when shopping for new appliances I was originally drawn to this particular model because of the wine rack. Once I moved past the wine rack, I just fell in love with the remainder of the features such as the soda rack, the depth of the door shelves and the placement of the drawers. This is by far the best organized refrigerator on the market. It is exceedingly quiet during operation. The ice maker placed on the freezer door allows for much more storage room in freezer and also gives the option of cubed or crushed ice, a nice feature. The water/ice access shelf on the outside is deep enough to fit my coffee pot and small pans without having to hold them in place. This refrigerator is by far the best I've ever owned. Kudos to the designers of this refrigerator."

"We're a household of two, and this refrigerator holds more than enough food for the two of us. We've have it installed for about 4 months now and found the installation to be very easy. However, the ice dispenser door motor, did go out, leaving the ice door open all the time, but Sears came out to replace it for free and I've had no issues since. The unit is LED lit, which gives it an updated look on the inside, and since they fade in when you open the unit, it doesn't immediately blind you if you open it in the dark. Also, the wine rack is very useful and has a slim design that takes up practically no space at all. Other than that, it's a beautiful refrigerator and looks great in my stainless steel appointed kitchen."

"We purchased our counter depth Samsung side-by-side about six months ago. It replaced an older counter depth refrigerator. Our kitchen is laid out so that a normal depth side-by-side would look ridiculous. There are so many features to love! It has so much more usable space that our last one! The LED lights are great - no dark corners in this fridge! Also, what can I say - it keeps the food just the right temperature and we are finding food stays fresher longer.
At first the stainless seemed difficult to clean - but I found these little wipes in a plastic container at the store and once each week I polish the outside.
Great looking, quiet and works great!"

"Purchased this refirigerator after reading many reviews on lots of different brands. This replaced a frig that was only 2 years old that had sooo many problems that we had to get rid of it. Love the sleek exterior. Super quiet you almost don't even know its running. Lots of great storage! Ice maker in freezer door gives us much more room than average. The ice and water dispenser is nice and tall for bigger glasses and containers. The only thing I gave 4 stars is the drawers in the frig don't extend all the way out unless you open the door wider and pull upwards. Great frig!! Way to go !!!"

"My spouse and I are very happy with our purchase of the Samsung side by side refigerator. We actually set out to buy a less expensive unit but once the Lowes appliance rep went over the features we found ourselves drawn to the Samsung. No other brand Lowes had seemed like they could compare. The ice maker on the door allows more room in the freezer and the the rest is just as awesome. We'll give it sometime and maybe be back to provide another review.

"We are very pleased with this product. Unlike some of the reviews we find the ice maker works great and is not any more noisy than other brands. The refrigerator itself is the quitest we have owned in 50+ years. Other pluses, digital temperature display, lighting, tall glases fit in dispensor area, seperate temp. settings for ref. and freezer......Only one minus. The design of the pull out drawers needs to be improved as they do not pull out far enough for convenient use. This ref. has only three weeks use and if our opinion changes over time I will update review. Design got only 4 stars because of drawer pull out problem .... but we can live with it."

"Never wrote a review, but this fridge earned it. I've had it for about a week, and so far so great.... I can't even hear it running. It replaced a built-in, counter-depth 19 year old Sub Zero, which couldn't compare with the Samsung, but it may be too early to tell.
I noticed a few reviews mentioned a slow ice maker. Mine seems to keep up just fine.

"Purchased this refrigerator at Lowes after my GE died after only 6 years. Counter depth is very nice, offering a built in type look and more room in my kitchen. The LED lighting inside is incredible and the ice/water dispenser works much better than my old GE. I have read the other reviews that mention the ice maker is slow. I would agree that it is a bit slow to initially fill, but this only noticed when the ice maker is completely empty (example when you first get the fridge) after that, this is not an issue and will not be noticed."

"We were very impressed with our new Samsung refrigerator. It took almost no time at all before the Freezer was at 32 degrees with the power freeze option, by morning the inside was at -10 degrees.
The front key pad is a very nice feature, it allows you to monitor the temperature with out opening the door which is very smart!

"I was pleased with the amount of room this refrigerator has for being a counter depth model. Overall the performance is very good. I do find the icemaker bucket not very easy to remove. Unfortunately important information regarding the location of the reset button for the icemaker is not listed in the manual. The manual could be more descriptive and have more troubleshooting tips. Good purchase, I really like Samsung products."

"Bought this to replace an older refrigerator. Wife liked the look, but wishes she could have gotten a different dispenser. Water dispenser will leak when you first install the new filter, but once air is bled from the system (you do nothing - it's automatic), it will operate normally. We like the counter depth and we gained some real estate in our kitchen back, but if you have a family, get the larger capacity. The counter depth is perfect for us since we are the only two living in the home. I saw complaints that the ice maker was noisy. Of course it is since it's dumping hard ice into a plastic bin (can't be helped)! It doesn't go on all the time."
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, fits like a glove, nice style, great features

"We've owned this frig. since March and have had no issues with performance since purchase. Last week the digital display started losing lights so called for service. Don't know if this is a chronic problem with this model or just a one time bad deal. Anyway it's being repaired Monday and will follow up if problem persists."

"I like the refrigerator design, features, and size, but within a few weeks the control panel running the ice and water dispenser etc malfunctioned. It was replaced promptly under warranty by Samsung using a local service provider, the outcome was good. Overall I am very happy with the refrigerator, but needing an early repair was a bummer."

"The Temperature display went out at 9 months under warranty and then 6 months later out of warranty. I have no clue what the temperature is in the refrigerator. The display is missing bars and looks Chinese. I would replace the display but I would most likey fail again so why waste my time and money. All else is working great."

"This is a wonderful fridge except for the fact that very large pitchers do not fit. It might be that I just need to move a shelf and have not had time to do so. Overall I would purchase tis again. The freezer is narrow but just fine for me as I have an additional freezer."

"This was a great purchase! I am a huge fan of Samsung products. We have had this refrigerator for almost 3 years. It is very efficient, and has some great features. The ice maker does not take up valuable shelf space in the freezer, lots of crisper storage, and a power freeze feature to quickly make ice, or re-melt ice cream. The only downfall I've noticed is that there is limited shelf space in the fridge, and a piece of trip around the keypad on the freezer door is coming loose. Keep in mind, this is a counter-depth unit...hence the limited space. All in all, a great unit!"

"However, I have had problems with the doors. First the doors were sticking on the bottom. Best Buy came out and lubricated the doors and that did help. Then the Fridge door started making a loud squeaking noise when opening and closing. Samsung rep came out and again lubricated the doors. So far, so good...no more noise."

"I love the way it feels when you open it. SOLID. That was the main selling feature of the Samsung refrigerator. The LED lighting is great. Like the wine and can holder rack features. So far so good on the performance. I bought the extended warranty just in case. The counterdepth size is worth the extra money. Looks like a built in."
