"I read reviews before purchasing this phone. There were others rated higher and lower that I was considering. This is my step into the world of SMART phones. Still getting familiar with all the phone has to offer even after 4 months of use. Surprised at capability that is packaged into a handheld device like this. My only real concern is the use time after overnight charging. Have found on a few occasions needing to put unit back on charge toward the end of the day. Otherwise, very pleased with what I have."

"Only issue is battery life but what do you expect from such a great machine? Holds up nice. Video is perfect. Camera is the best I have ever had. While recording you can pause recording so you do not end up with hundreds of little clips. Has to be one of the greatest features. Love it. Super fast."

"I actually got this device be default. I had a blackberry Bold 9930 that actually going bad on me (hardware issue) and needed a smartphone to handle my business right away. I checked out all available devices before settling on SG3....Email support coming from BB was a huge concern for me.

Well, the SG3 is fantastic at handling my emails among other things. I am pleasantly surprised at how much this device can do and do real well.

I also wasn't sure I'd like the larger screen either but now I can't see going to a smaller one. It is no longer an eye strain to accomplish anything. Highly recommended!"

"The first thing I noticed on this phone was the screen, it is bright and the colors are stunning, images high quality. All the motion features are awesome, especially Smart Stay! The cameras (both rear and front facing) take very good clear pictures. The speakers sound is good and clear, but a it feels a little low when you're listening to music without headphones or a soundock. I wish it had a brightness toggle on the drop down menu or the ability to customize it. The only issue I encountered with this phone is that it wouldn't recognize my SD card when I first inserted it. I had to format it and transfer all my music back to it, and just didn't bother with my old pictures. I gave it 4 stars in design because while this is a very good looking phone it is also very smooth, easy to drop if it doesn't have a rubberized case or such and it smudges so easily. I have to constantly wipe the fingerprints. Other than that this is an excellent device, and battery life is very good."

"This phone is really worth every cent you pay for it. I switched from an Iphone and this phone is a thousand times better. I do admit that it takes some work and thinking to get the settings where you want them to be (Iphone was common sense) but over all this phone out beats it."

"Just bought this one for my husband since I bought the blue one for myself. We both had the galaxy s2 epic, and I knew the transition would be easier for him to stick with a Samsung product he was already familiar with. THIS PHONE IS AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!
Love the storage size, the processor speed is incredible, very smooth, tons of apps. I am hooked on Samsung, We own 2 tablets, 2 smart phones and a smart TV."

"I love the phone but the carrier altered the OS to the point to where the fun Samsung bits are hard to enable or non-existent. Verizon felt it should be harder to turn on and off Wi-Fi so they removed the toggle, as well as they think it’s should be time consuming and redundant to silence so they also removed the notifications toggle. It's too bad that Samsung doesn’t have more say for how the companies they sell their products under revises the software to best suit no one’s needs. Otherwise it’s a good product, just wish it was quad- core in America."

"Love the phone...no dout...But i would like to have seen it debloated from all the verizon useless apps...every verizon app has to be paid for to use it, when you can DL a better app and use it for free from google play...Also noticed that when it plugged into a computer via usb, the actual micro SD card is called "phone" and the Ext SD card is called "card" but is in fact the phones internal memory...weird...why?...would also have been nice to have an option to remove the stock apps without affecting the OTA updates...otherwise features would have gotten a 5...the biggest issue i have with it is the screen..while watching a movie, and the movie has a dark part the screen has tiny black speckles all over it...i tested the screen with the LCD tester on google play and went to the black screen option, it shows up... replaced it 1 week after owning it...the second phone did the same thing...i was told its a charactor flaw?...still no fix and verizon wont replace it again with a new one...why? otherwise design would have had a 5... other than that the phone works great... battery life is awsome.... sound is awsome... everything else other than the stuff i didnt like was beyond awsome...definitly worth the buy...hense the 5 rating for performance...the cost is a bit high, granted the technology involved is newer and its the newest thing out there, demolishes the iphone and other android competitors, but for the average guy to get one and be part of the better tech world life style, he has to spend alot to get it...so i gave it a 4 for value..."

Cons: incorrectly named internal memory, incorrectly named sd card, screen has black spots, tech support sucks (imo), expensive

"Great great phone in every way except one. The on/off button is oppisite the volume button. Most times when you turn the volume up or down you hit the on/off switch and vice versa. Its kinda annoying. Its still an awesome phone but I hope the developers read this and fix that!"
