"I had the Galaxy SIII and traded for a Note II. It runs very good, however, I loaded the exact same applications and at times. it shows a very short delay action after pressing the button. This not often but here and there. I'm still learning how to use the pen features, but so far, very good."

"This is by far the best smartphone I have ever owned. I have only had Android OS phone because I don't like some of the restrictions of Apple. I like Android because I can see it as a separate drive when I USB it to my computer which enables my to drag and drop file back and forth. It is a little bit large for a phone but considering it is also a tablet it really couldn't be any smaller."

"As with all your products, I love this phone! It is a cut above the competitors.
I was considering a tablet, and didn't want to have to pack around a tablet and a phone...so the NOTE 2 answered that problem quite nicely.
And, as many baby boomers, my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be and I like the bigger screen for viewing and reading. I set the font to large. And I think using the volume key to increase/decrease font size in messaging is genius. I wish it worked with other apps. But, in the messaging it's great.
I also use the 3M Cloud library app to read books, and this phone makes that very doable. I love the feature that uses facial scanning to know whether you are focusing on the phone or not to decide whether to sleep or not. Also, the feature that takes into account the orientation of your face to decide whether to rotate the screen or not. Awesome!
The S Pen is great, too. Again, Genius! I love that it docks securely in the phone. I had bought two extras, fearing that I would lose the original. But, it's so secure, I probably will never need to unpackage the others I bought.
Samsung absolutely has the best "extra" little features that put all its products over the top. No wonder their major cell phone competitor is suing and trying to stymie them. Samsung out does them on every front. Now if they just had an app so my Note II would make a cup of espresso...."

Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, human intuitive features, won't need a tablet!, fantastic value

"To begin, I thought this phone was expensive, maybe more than it was worth. But I was so wrong! I cannot live without my Samsung Galaxy Note II. I honestly do not know what I did without a phone with a stylus before. Taking notes when I'm calling is so convenient, and the multiwindow feature is necessary for my fast-paced life. I manage so many things with my phone, my business, contacts, school, family, social media, games, pictures, apps. There is so much storage on the device, so many things I'm sure I haven't even explored yet. The phone just seems to evolve. I truly think this phone is worth more than what I paid for it.

The only thing I do not like about the phone is that the stylus does not control the back and menu buttons."

"I purchased this product after reading multiple reviews from multiple websites, and I am very pleased so far. I am still learning all the features, so I may update my review several times.

I suggest a screen protector, not necessarily for the glass, but against the glare. I typically use invisible shield, but find that if I want to use a case that wraps around the edges, the case pushes up the edges of the shield. A retailer showed me a different shield, thinner, less flexible, but with which the case won't interfere, and it is wonderful. I like it better than the previous one.

Do invest in both the screen protector and the case, as this model is thin plastic, which is a con.

Processor speed, memory, and battery life are great! Size is not an issue, as it is hardly noticeable -- except for the fact that you can READ everything!"

"I already own the Note 10.1 tablet and was familiar with what to expect concerning the Note 2 but I am still amazed at how much this phone can do!

I really don't have a CON for this phone. If I had to come up with one, I would say that there is still a lack of quality, aftermarket accessories for this phone but really is it. I say this because I want a more rugged case (at least a dual layer) that still has the flap to cover the screen with. Right now, I have a decent dual-layer case and a great screen protector but one can never have enough protection with a phone this size.

Oh, and since I caught my phone on sale and also had a promotional discount through the store I bought it at, the price was not a con for me. Even if I didn't get the discounts, it would not be a con though since it is worth every penny in my opinion."

"I love this phone! The only thing it doesn't do, is cook me breakfast! The screen is enormous and vivid. It has tons of features. I'm still discovering all of them. My last phone was the Infuse, and I didn't think it could be beat. It's a superior phone, too. But the Note II has a bigger screen, and more features. I would recommend this phone to friends, and have recommended it to everyone. so far, 2 people I work with have gotten the Note II, and we always tell each other about something new we've discovered about the phone. I'm still learning the "S-Pen" capabilities, but so far, I love it. Especially the fact that the phone will alert you if you accidentally leave the S-Pen behind. S-voice works great too. I could go on, but you get the point. Maybe I'm prejudiced,because, all my phones have been Samsung phones. What can I say? They consistently produce superior phones of superior quality, and never stop amazing me. Thank you so much Samsung!"

"I love new toys and this is definitely a cool toy. While I probably don't use this phone like it should be I do love the features. The screen is massive and great for playing games and watching Netflix on. Some people buy phones for form and function and some buy just for the sake of having an updated phone. I bought this prior to them announcing the new S4 or Note3. Price you pay for satisfying that itch.
The resolution is great. You can find phones with tighter resolution but frankly you can't really tell. The camera rocks and takes great pictures. The size does take some getting use to however. If you wear skinny jeans good luck getting it to fix. I however wear you normal jeans and it fits but don't bend over without pushing it to the side or you will hurt yourself. Battery life is decent. I don't use it as a primary so i can usually get about 2 1/2 days before I have to charge. I bought the universal charge which is great but if you use a 3rd party case you have to take it off to charge. Sound works pretty well. I don't hear any reverb or metallic sounds either on speakerphone or speaker."

"I traded my Droid X for this device. I cannot call this a phone because it is so much more. Also the S-Pen is very useful, just take the time to learn how to use it. This thing does feel a bit flimsy or cheap so buy a good protective case.

Many of my friends laughed because it's so big, but it is the perfect companion to my laptop. I use the laptop as storage, transferring data back and forth between devices when it's needed. Oh yeah, the phone works too. The overall usefulness of the contraption beats the competition easily, and I was more than ready to take it back for a replacement Droid. Pretty much what you would want it to t do, or expect it to do is built-in."

"The Note II comes with a range of features not available on any other device. Utilizing functions like multiview, and the S-Pen, you'll find yourself doing more tasks in half the time. As far as entertainment purposes, It's one of the few devices that allows comfortable viewing on the go. Its beautiful colors, and high contrast ratio means the picture will amaze you. The price is higher than other competitors, but it doesn't disappoint. Its extremely durable also. "This product is in a class of its own. Nothing compares! Big pluses: Battery life, smooth operation, stunning screen and light-weight (even though the device is large.) Downsides: None found so far. It is hands down the best smartphone I have ever have used. I have been using iPhones from the beginning and then switched to a Galaxy Nexus last year. This device seemed very large in the store and I had some apprehension about getting it. I thought I would just go for an S III but I wanted the battery of the Note II. I love the size just a few days into the purchase. Not really all that interested in one-handed operation but love how I can see everything so clearly. The 4G LTE network is excellent, even when I don't have that great of a signal and it is so much better on Wi-Fi than my Nexus. My battery lasts more than a day and I am pretty heavy user. Yesterday, I charged it up and unplugged at 11pm. I took the train to NYC and used it almost continuously for 3 hours reading FB posts, reading news, played some Words with Friends, Listened to podcasts both into the city and on the way home. I had 26% battery left when I got in the car to go home. Crazy!!! No smartphone I have every owned has even half the battery life of this phone. I highly recommend this device and can't wait to see what Samsung does with the next iteration."

"I've had many android phones, and the Galaxy Note 2 is by far the best phone I've ever had. The display is beautiful and the phone is powerful and has incredible battery life! I use the S Pen to draw using the Sketchbook Pro app, and the pen is amazing to draw with! If Samsung actually reads these reviews please make your own sketchbook app to take 100% advantage of the wacom digitizer and keep improving it with the Note 3, also if possible giving the Note 3 the ability to be used as a drawing pad when connected to a computer would be incredible and genius! I love the phone and I can't wait to see the Note 3. I also hope the next Note has a more professional camera, it would be a dream phone."

"Yes, the large screen makes viewing movies and games great. Yes, it's really, really fast and has loads of memory, lots of ways to connect, front and back cameras, oodles of software, awesome GPS.

But what I have found completely addictive is the S-Pen. I bought the phone because of its size and speed, I didn't think I'd even use the S-Pen. Like post-it notes and microwaves, it's really hard to explain why it's so great until you use it.

I have a program that lets me jot notes down just like I would on a piece of paper. That is incredibly handy for the quick phone number or other information - much, much quicker and more intuitive than having to pull up the keyboard. I have another program that lets me take notes during meetings -- just fabulous! I don't need to haul around notebooks and I always have the meeting notes right there with me. I use the S-Pen for web surfing -- even with a big screen, clicking links is just so much more accurate and easier with an S-Pen. Try it, I think you'll find it makes using the web on the Note even better. I write on photos and maps I email to people (circling landmarks and that kind of thing.)

I don't think I could go back to a phone without an S-Pen. My only gripe is there needs to be WAY more software for the S-Pen! I'd love a calendar I could write on and a running to-do list."

"This phone is great. It performs well, has a great screen, great response, tons of processing power, and is very stable.

The only things I don't like about it are as follows:
1.) Too much plastic (I wish they would have made a metal chassis)
2.) I wish it had full 1080P display (not a huge noticeable issue though)
3.) IT DOES NOT AUTO-ROTATE FOR THE HOME SCREEN LIKE EVERY OTHER DROID I'VE EVER OWNED (this is my biggest complaint which I fixed with another app..... but I shouldn't have had to....)
4.) This isn't a real complaint since I knew this when I bought it, but it is just a tad too big for me to comfortably use with 1 hand"

"I absolutely adore this thing. I use it everyday for work and it never has a slowdown. I use it to take notes, remote into my work computer to access data while onsite or at home. I got used to the size of it almost instantly.
I'd recommend getting insurance, since it would be a nightmare to have to pay full price for it."

"I've had this device for about 8 1/2 weeks now and I'm still getting a kick out of it. All I can say is...it's big but not too big for a cellular phone. But its big enough to type or send text messages even with my fat fingers. Sometimes my fingers seem swollen or just too big to use the virtual keys but that's okay. Really impressed with the front & rear camera's picture quality which is...well better than my own vision and its crystal clear and very detailed. One of the top features is being able to take notes with the stylus and saving it for preview later and one of the best things about that is you don't need a tablet for that. The next feature is being able to ask the Galaxy for weather reports, directions how to convert temperatures by speaking too it...how cool is that? Third, the screen is big and I use too get small headaches from reading small fonts on other devices but not this one. I can actually see the text without squinting. To me that's a big plus for the Galaxy and I'm still learning about all of the other features everyday from friends and new friends who have same model but had theirs a little longer. Most of the day its easier to surf the internet on this than surfing on my laptop and easier to carry around. Just make sure you don't get caught in company meeting and have your charger & USB data cable near by just encase you need a charge. Battery life seems to last about a day and half on normal usage depending on if you're streaming or not. This thing is really cool and know I'm waiting to see if Samsung is going to upgrade the firmware to match their new cellular that's suppose to be able to follow eye contact but even better than this one. Nice Samsung...very Nice :)"

"The Samsung Note 2 is the best cellphone I have ever owned! The Note 2 has a gorgeous screen, 2 gigs of Ram, 4 cores, and workes very smoothly with no lags! I love the S-Pen for jotting down notes! The camera takes pictures very fast and good quality! The video camera caputes fantadtic videos in 1080p high definition! It can also record in slow motion, or feven fast motion! The Note 2 has Sbeam, which allows the sharing of pictures and videos to occur effortlessly. The microsd card slot gives me extra storage, and the battery life is really good! There really is so much to this ohone, that I could go on and on. In summation, the Note 2 is fantastic!"

"Folks, no kidding - this is absolutely the very best phone and smartphone I have ever had. I've had Windows phones (which I really like by the way) and iphones, but this one just kills them. Blows them away. The screen is big and bright (not too big, but big enough so that people stop you and ask what it is - truly they do, and then proceed to salivate all over it). WiFi is fast (my home connection is only 20 meg and it reaches that). 3G is decent and 4G is blazing fast. I love it and I have absolutely no complaints, other than it cost a lot. It's worth it though."

"I've gone through several different Smart Phones and this is by far the best. It isn't too big, it's exactly the right size. Not too big, not too small, perfect! I'm the one my friends an relatives all go to when they want to learn to do something on their phone and the smaller, "regular size" phones are tiny and annoying to work with. I want a phone that I can do allot of different things on easily and this one fits the bill. The screen is large and gorgeous, the battery life is great and the overall response is fast and amazing. If you're not afraid of technology and need something that is actually useful as well as a pleasure to use, then the Galaxy Note II is the phone for you.

The only con I can think of is that there's no mini HDMI port. I used to use that frequently on my last phone.

I've bought dozens of different PC's and Laptops, a couple of different tablets and six different smart phones and this is the best tech purchase I've ever made. I'm glad I won't be looking for another Smart Phone for a while. At least until the Galaxy Note III comes out."

"I love this phone. The UI is simple to use, but won't blow you away. The only thing missing from their UI that I had coming from Sense was a full screen stock calendar and a full screen stock calculator. Otherwise the phone is great and meets all my needs. I love the big screen! I thought it might be too bulky, but I really love that feature."

"I love this phone. I compared it with every phone on the market and this was easily the best choice. The screen size is very easy to get used to. It is perfect for reading books and the news. I also use it for the occasional video or game use. The camera is very good and the battery life is nothing short of amazing. Also the S-Pen is great accessory. I have had it for 2 months and have yet to have one complaint about. Well done, Samsung!"

"The split screen allowing me to email and surf the web on the same page, the quad core processor with its amazing speed, the battery life that a true business professional needs, the amazing screen quality as nice as anything I have seen all make for a rating of 5 stars. This phone is amazingly intuitive, responsive, and the screen size is utterly amazing. Being able to share photos instantly by bumping is also an awesome feature. "I have been using my VZW Note 2 for about 3 months now. I am amazed by this phone. The speed, the screen, the simplicity. The phone has met almost every expectation I have had of it.

My only grief with it is due to Verizon holding back on software update and locking features. The Multiwindow is a big reason I purchased this phone, but that feature only has a limited number of apps available due to Verizons restrictions.

I would still recommend this phone to everyone!"

"Seriously, this phone is amazing. Yes it's enormous, but NO, I don't ever have problems fitting it in my pocket or holding it. I have shortish fingers, and I have no issues with doing everything I want on the phone.

I've owned almost every top of the line Android phone, and this thing DESTROYS them all. It's easily a billion times faster than the Galaxy Nexus (what I upgraded from). I didn't even look back once after upgrading to the sweet sweet Note 2 goodness.

If you want the fastest phone with a GINORMOUS display, this is the one to get."

"I'm completely in love with this phone! I was a worried at first that it might be too big but after holding it for a while really liked the size. The screen is by far one of the best on the market! I love the fact that the phone comes with a SD card slot unlike a lot of other phones on the market. Spen, multi-view, pop browser & video player, and Sbeam are out of this world! The phone is very light and thin for its size. My only complaint is that on the rare occasions that i drop the phone, the battery cover pops off a little to easily. I'm talking about small drops here, like getting up from the couch and forgetting that the phone is on my lap...on to carpet."
