"i looooooove this phone! it is great! an awesome for a first touch screen phone because its really durable. Like some touch screen phones are super easy to crack. Not this one! the only thing i can think of that i dont like, is that you cant set a password for the unlock screen other then when its powering up. My friends always want to get on it, and they can because it doesnt have a lock:( other then that, its an all-over great phone!"

Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera, qwerty key board

Cons: no password lock for the screen

I would recommend this to a friend!

"lock screen unlocks too easily allowing you to ear dial while you are talking to someone. There is some type of programming issue which leaves a dangling blue window with computer language jibberish. must take battery out to clear. The replaced my phone with another when i started having this problem, now I'm having the same problem."

Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, programming issue

"I feel that Samsung should give more info on the Samsung Character. They need to have updated unlock codes in the manuals just in case some accidentally places their phone in the NAM 2 setting, instead of pretending that it wouldn't happen. They should also be able to pull up the information to correctly unlock the Character if the customer calls in for info. If not, provide an alternate phone if the person has insurance on the phone..."

"I have had this phone for a little over a month now and I hate it! Everytime I am on the phone with someone and I try to do something and hold the phone to my shoulder it starts dialing anything and everything! I cannot hear it on my side but the person I am talking to at the time start asking me what I am doing. The "lock" feature is way to sensitve it my ear holding it in place unlocks it. I would have already went to see if I could trade it back in for something else if my work schedule weren't the way it is. This one needs to be adjusted definately!"
