"I got this as a temporary cheap replacement after I bricked my Captivate. Great reception and battery life. It also has support for YIM, AIM, and MSN Messenger and WAP web browsing but not much else. Doesn't even have a calculator.

However, what this phone lacks in features, it makes up for in price and reliability. if you're just looking for a phone that makes phone calls and does txt messaging, this is the phone for you. :)"

"I bought this for my GoPhone account after losing an older model from another company. I was looking for a small phone and use it 99% of the time just for phone calls. Easy to carry in my pocket, lightweight and sleek. The time display could be a bit larger, but even though I need reading glasses, I can still read it. For the price and just a phone, it works great."

"I needed a phone without a camera and this one certainly fit the bill. I've had this phone for more than three years and it's never let me down. It can drag in the weak signals, and nobody has ever complained that they can't hear me. That said, it lacks bluetooth so you cannot pair it with your car, and since I don't need online access, the inability to disable on-line access in the system menu is a definite minus -- push the wrong button and you may be charged for service you didn't intend to use. It is certainly not a "smart phone" -- but it does well what one wants a basic telephone to do -- make and receive calls. I intend to keep this phone until it dies, and if Samsung is still making it, I'll probably get another."

"I only use my cell phone for "needed" phone calls and very seldom use it for texting. It is easy to navigate and the phone serves my needs. I do wish that it had a camera and an exterior display but it does not. It would have been difficult to pay too much less than I paid for this so I do think I received a good value for my money."

"I wanted a super-simple phone and this one was ideal. I recently had two problems with it. First, it isn't the greatest at picking up signal strength, though it's good enough for an inexpensive phone. Second, mine began to malfunction one year to the day (absolutely true) after purchase. I'm surprised because it's my third Samsung phone, has never been damaged and my last phone was fully functional when I upgraded after six years. The a107 is still operational and I am keeping it in reserve. I bought a new Samsung phone yesterday that has more features that I now need. Already love it! I'm a Samsung customer for life, as are several of my friends."

"Used to my Razor phone for 3 years and it met an untimely death. Even a young Priest and an old Priest could not resurrect that thing-was newly unexpectantly unemployed but still desperately needed a way/form of communication and this phone was literally my only choice. "Bought this phone because I needed something hearing aid compatible and this was recommended. Overall phone is not nearly as nice/usable as previous phone that I gave up to get compatibility. And worse, hearing aid capability just isn't there. For someone with good hearing, who needs a basic phone for limited use, this is probably okay. Creating phone book entries was a bit difficult but is possible after some practice."
