"The only problem I've found with this phone lies in Samsung calendar features. You apparently cannot program appointments that occur on a specific day of the week and repeat on that same day the next month. It's annoying but I can live with that if I can't find a fix for it."

"I chose this phone because I was looking for a touchscreen keyboard for texting. I researched this and other phones and this was by far the best of them in the same price range, It has a really nice looking menu screen. I would like it to be a little more reactive but I am adapting to the speed at which it responds and to be honest this is my first experience with touchscreeen so I don't know how quickly other touchscreens react.. The shape of the phone is nice and the weight and size are perfect. This phone goes beyond my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice phone with a touchscreen keyboard that is easy to use!!!!"

"I received my new Samsung Sunburst. This is my second Samsung that I have owned and it is fantastic! It is very user friendly and I was able to transfer all my old phone contacts and information in a matter of a hour or two. I tried out all the features and the 2 MB camera is great! I took several pictures with it and they were very clear just like my digital camera. I am very pleased and happy with my purchae. Keep all your good works!!"

"Well, I can honestly say I have no complaints about this phone. It works very well for me, I have had ZERO problems with it. I have owned and operated it for a month now, and it runs fantastically.

I have dropped it a few times, (probably about 5), and it runs like a champ. No marks or dings anywhere!

This, to me, is a well constructed phone with the user in mind. I previously owned a Samsung, and I'm happy with my choice to stay loyal to Samsung.

The only thing that bothers me sometimes is the placement of the Lock and Camera buttons. I find when I go to take a picture, I often hit the lock button instead of the camera button. However, that is more me than the phone itself, but it can be annoying sometimes.

A one night charge can generally last me about three days, depending upon how much I use the phone. If I use it heavily for texting, it lasts about two.

The QWERTY is very usable, I previously was using T9, and now I refuse to go back to anything but QWERTY.

Overall, I am very very pleased with my choice of the Sunburst. Thanks for a quality phone, Samsung!"

"I have been a txter for about 2 years now and so far this is the easiest best phone yet. The slim size is amazing when putting in my pocket or purse. I love the widgests and that I can control what is on the widgets board. The touch screen is easy and not real sensitive so your not hitting five buttons at once. It is a must for a txter who is not ready for the the full size keyboard yet. Though it is not 3g that is ok with me I do not have the internet on my phone so it isnt a problem."

"Great little dependable non 3G /4 app phone.
Touchscreen works great for texting, IF you have small fingers, or use a stylus.
Like the SLIDER for getting from A-Z.
Had it 2yrs, and no glitches except for one.
Turnaround on fix 1 week.
No probs since, after market 110v wall chargers avail cheap.(not from Samsung) And you can carry as many batts fully charged as you want.Great of going on a trip, and no electricity is available(camping, hiking, etc.
So light you never know you have it."

"I've had 3 touch screen phones in the last year. This was is better than the other 2. One concern is that widgets will sometimes default back and are not on my screens. "I'm a somewhat of tech freak and I have owned other touch screen cell phones. I love this phone! Its was easy to figure out without having to look at the instruction manual, the battery life is FABULOUS! I am constantly texting, on social networking cites, or talking and the battery actually lasts a FULL day. The camera takes decent pictures. I have one minor complaint, it freezes up from time to time. Other than that this phone is GREAT!"

"The phone will not link or sync to a 64 bit PC, only a 32 bit PC. I'm very upset about this because the main reason I purchased this phone was to sync to my PC. I mean really, who owns a 32 bit PC anymore? How pre-historic! Samsung needs to get into the year 2011 and create phone and software that can work and function with today's technologly."

"First touch screen so at first I wanted to throw it across the room. The screen seemed so sensitive I felt like an infant trying to text...BUT--it got easier quickly and everyday I discover new stuff I can do. I despise reading owners manual unless I just absolutely have to so this has been an adventure. I think one of the best features is the ability to enlarge the font of a text message while reading just by using the up/down button on the side of the phone. when I am not wearing my glasses this makes it possible to still read the message. And that same button lets you scroll through pictures, contact list, etc without using the sensitive screen. So far the battery life is excellent."

"I love this phone however its a little difficult to type considering its completely touch screen. The Apps on this phone are almost like an i phone with sorting however having the 3 pages makes it limited to which ones you use and there's a reminder that pops up on whatever page your one saying you have a missed call, text, voice mail, event or email( even if you put it on a certain page). However it's an overall good product."

"This is my first touch screen, and I like it quite a bit. It is sleek, easy to use, has great call quality, and has fast browsing. And I also like that I can quarter-turn and type texts QWERTY or hold it as normal and input texts the "old way." My only complaint is that it does not support YouTube--you can go to the website but when you try to play a video, it says "unsupported content," and there is no fix. If YouTube worked, I would have no problem giving this phone all 5s and recommending it to everyone."

"Like with all new cell phones, it's a bit frustrating to settle into it. But eventually you do.
The touch screen isn't the best material, and a bit awkward to use.

The phone is fast, lightweight, the already-installed applications are helpful and fun, voice quality is nice, and takes about 3-5 seconds to load the average webpage.

I don't really like the fact that you can't just put any regular head phones into it, though. You have to buy their products for it. The camera quality is nice.

Over all, it's a really nice phone, aside from a few irks."

"This is not an Android phone but it could be a decent starter phone for newbies is only it had a capacitive keyboard/screen. The screen/key touch on this is very tricky. It is heavy and your touch has to be just the right duration or it will not enter correctly. If not for that this would be a prettyu good almost smartphone."

"Nice phone, but already obsolete by the time it was delivered. Not to knock Samsung, because I'm generally a fan of the company, but, I paid too much money for the features this phone has. Wish I had waited a couple of months and gotten another windows phone (my last phone was a Cingular 3125 with Windows Mobile). This one doesn't compare favorably to my old Cingular 3125. Display is IMPOSSIBLE to see outdoors even on a cloudy day -- I have to take my sunglasses off and try to shade the screen as much as possible to see anything. Buying this phone was a big mistake. Camera, screen lock, and volume buttons are all located exactly where my hand naturally falls while using the phone. Even after a year I still can't find a way of holding the phone to talk into it without pushing one of these buttons. Very poorly designed."

"Controls are not intuitive and too easy to miss. Often unresponsive or too slow to respond. I still have trouble accepting phone calls before they go to voicemail.
Button controls are far too sensitive -- too often it shuts down, or worse, places calls for me while it's in my pocket!
I also had a lot of trouble configuring a phone /PC interface for the purpose of uploading photos."

"This phone worked well for the first 30 days, then started acting up. I'll be in the middle of a call the bluetooth comes on (although I'm not using a head set), so my party can't hear me because the phone is transmitting through an imaginary head set. Then it just drops the call. Very frustrating. It happens if I'm on the phone for more than 10 mins! Aaaagh!!!"

"This is not an ideal touch screen phone. Not all of the information in the user manual is correct, i.e., down loading pics to PC. You have to get drivers and program from Samsung web site. Then the program does show you how you should go about getting the phone connected to the PC, but when you try to connect through USB and follow the instructions you cannot connect the phone. Too much info for the small phone. Still have not been able to get pics to PC after two days of trying. User manual on line is different than the manual that comes with the phone. Instructions are too vague."

"This is quite possibly the worst piece of communication equipment I have ever owned. It makes placing of phone calls, replying to texts, accessing internet the most laborious endeavor. Besides the fact that font size in testx is a size 2, which makes it practically useless for anyone that is over 35 years old, the requirements of placing calls to enter multiple "fields" and screens, etc.. is unbelievably inefficient. The features on this phone appear to have been developed for the sole reason of having features to offer. Useless!"

I did not drop the phone at all, it just stopped working. I sent the phone to AT&T and in about a week they sent me a new phone (still a Sunburst) and now in about the eighth month of owning this phone, it has broken for the second time due to the same reason. I am going to send it back, but I will not accept another Sunburst, it is a terribly made phone which has not served me well at all. I thought that this phone would last me until the end of my contract, it turns out I was wrong."

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, broke twice during an eight month period

"This was my first touch screen phone and I loved it. It is not as easy to type on as the iphone but you get what you pay for. I had no problems what so ever until about 5 months after purchasing the phone. It worked just fine one minute and the next the touch screen would not work at all. It never worked again. The phone was not wet or damaged. Because it was under warranty I got a replacement. The replacement lasted 3 months and the exact same thing happened. I was taking pictures one moment and the next it was nonresponsive. I WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER SAMSUNG. A phone on a two year contract that only last 6 months at most is a bad purchase, even if it is cheap."

Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
