"I have had lots of phones. A Windows HTC Nextel 3 rugged phones a Samsung Infuse 4G . Only the infuse was even close to the quality and usability of the Note1 my wife had So when I was shopping for a new phone to upgrade (Infuse still works well not as fast and feature poor to my wife's) The Galaxy4 wasnt out for AT&T yet so I got the Note II Man what a phone. I thought it would be to big but it fits in most pockets and in the car I put it in a mount so I can use the GPS and other features. I have this phone for a month and I have never been disappointed with the Note II. The battery lasts 2 days with my normal usage. Button layout better than the Infuse."

"For as much as you hear reviewers mention the size of the phone, after a few week, it seems perfectly normal sized and all other phones seem small and pathetic in comparison.

It works perfectly the first time. The S-Pen is more useful than you realize before you start using it, and build quality is top notch.

My favorite phone of all time. Will never go to a smaller phone in the future, so let's hope Samsung keep making so excellent a "phablet"."

"I was an Iphone user and loved my Iphone until I went to my Note 2. I use it for navigation since I am in law enforcement, school since I am taking online classes, and have tons of music and movies. Playing movies is awesome on the big screen. The only downfall is that i cannot customize my music playlist by hooking it up like the Iphone. If there was some kind of itunes on it, that would make it perfect even though it almost is. Oh well you cant have everything you want. Love the phone and cant wait till the Note 3 comes out."

"This has been a great phone battery life was the main selling point to me in purchasing this over a Nexus 4. I love the screen size I cant see myself going to a smaller phone after using this one I no longer reach for my tablet. "I got this phone almost 2 weeks ago. I knew other bigger phones were coming but was not comfortable that the newest technology is always the best. The "bugs" that are discovered in new products can linger long term and annoy you everyday.

So I went from a something phone 5 to this. My biggest frustration with phones is typing on them with two thumbs. And with all but android you cannot change keyboards. So I went big and Swype my way through things or use voice to dictate. And both are real big winners for me. I can swype my way through a message with no typos and do it quickly.

The other thing I realized is that I like using a tablet or small netbook while sitting and waiting somewhere, using my phone as a hotspot. But in this case, I don't need to take those things and can use this phablet to text, make calls, and even surf the web or play games with ease.

Battery life is another major plus. I can talk and text throughout the day; I can even spend an hour or two on the web (or in news apps for example) and have plenty of battery life left at the end of the day without needing to re-charge. I used to not use my phone for stuff like this because the battery seemed to go down at least 1% per minute. And when you get below 50%, human nature kicks in and you panic thinking about that "next charge".

The hard part for me was to go to a plastic phone coming from an aluminum phone. It seemed kinda cheesy somehow but I got over that as I realized something this big in aluminum would be too heavy to hold and use anyway. Putting it in a protective case protects it just fine and gives you a good grip.....this is a big phone, you need a case that won't slide out of your hand.

In just about 2 weeks, I have had no complaints, no lock ups, no freezing, no malfunctions of any kind. I will be keeping this phone even though I'm very finicky about my phone choices - looking for the perfect phone and often go through 1-2 returns before I settle on one of them.

I have not settled this time - this time I got exactly what I had always hoped I'd find...something easy to type on, easy to read, and basically a tablet and phone with a battery that lasts all day....plus the display is absolutely gorgeous. The most important was easy to type on (swype is awesome and so is the voice dictation).

"I call it a device as it is definitely not "just" a phone, it is a full-fledged computing platform. This is a great platform for mobile computing. the screen is large enough to watch movies and work on spreadsheets as well as surf the web. The battery life is reasonable and it has tons of features. Samsung has thought out the product well, making it light weight but not flimsy. The layout of the buttons and ports make it usable without getting in the way. I actually enjoy this device more than any other cell phone/PDA/tablet/smartphone I have ever tried. I would recommend this to everyone."

"I came from a blackberry and still miss the email features that blackberry offers, however there so many apps that help make the transition easy.

This phone allows me to both accomplish my business tasks and have fun with my personal travels.

Great GPS and w-fi connection I seem to always have a great connection.

It is somewhat large for a phone, but Iove it just because it is large. I don't need to use my reading glasses for every task.

I understand the classification of phablet and I agree don't need to bring laptop when almost every task can be accomplished with this phone.

"This is the phone to beat for incredible functionality, great multi-tasking and an incredible display. The LTE is brisk, even on AT&T's fledgling network, and while the processor is not quite as quick as one would expect from a quad-core, being only slightly noticeably faster than it's dual core predecessor, the combination of a large on board memory offering helps to navigate a wide range of open apps with ease. Looking forward to the octa-core variants of the Galaxy line!"

"I, like many people, first thought this phone would be way too big for my taste. The more I researched it, the more persuaded I was to give it a try. I have not been disappointed. The phone fits in all of my pockets but I am 6'1 so that might have something to do with it. The features on this phone are really nice. While I don't use the S-pen all that much, having it available for a quick note has been worth it. If you don't like writing then the voice features work great too. It is fast and responsive and the battery will easily last all day with fairly heavy use. I have never run it down to less than 30% battery life and that was when I let my kids play games on it for like 6 hours after I had used it heavily for 10 hours. I highly recommend this phone."

"Didn't expect this device to have the battery life it does, but I am really impressed how long it lasts. Big screen for pics and videos yet I can still slip it into my pocket for carrying is a big plus. Integrated S Pen, talk-to-text, dual screen apps, etc has made this purchase a definite upgrade over any of the iPhone's I have previously."

"Why did I wait so long to make the switch??? Going from an iPhone to Droid was wicked cool in itself, but my Note 2 has proven to be the ultimate smart phone .... better than ANYTHING I have ever used before. It literally does everything I need for all the things I'm involved in - family, work, training, down time, entertainment .... I just cannot satisfactorily put in to words just how incredible it is! And with the quad core processor, there's just no limit on what I can do with it.

"I could not be happier with the Galaxy Note 2. I upgraded from the HTC Inspire (which was horrible in many, many ways). The phone is super fast and very easy to use, I find the texting to be really fun and easy . The size of the screen is really great and actually does feel like a phone and a tablet. I am more than satisfied with the phone and I think its a great value for the price."

"I have always been slow to adopt new technology. I never had a pda. I waited until 'the cloud' came along and my email, contacts and calendar could follow me on my computers. In similar one-size-fits-all fashion, I bought my Note ll. Finally, I can write notes, make phone calls, text, e-mail, watch video on a decent-sized screen, listen to podcasts and music---all from the same device. Simple, even for a tech moron. Thanks!"

"Been a long time Mac/iPhone user. I was starting to get bored with my iPhone and it was time for an upgrade anyway. I had played with the iPhone 5, and it didn't excite me. I didn't add anymore functionality to my daily usage.

The GN2, on the other hand, is great! I use it for note taking for work and home. The S Pen is great for quick scribbles, it's accurate enough for very good handwriting recognition, and it's much faster than tap-tap-tapping out a quick reminder.

It's fast, it's not too big. The screen is nice. Android JB is far better than iOS. While I like the integration options of iOS, especially if you own other Apple products, the Note is a better device and allows me to be more productive."

"This is simply a superb, fantastic device. The functionality is amazing, the screen size is perfect, the form factor is elegant, and the S-pen is surprisingly useful.

If you are worried that the phone is too big, it really isn't the case -- it fits comfortably in a man's shirt pocket or a purse, and is very lightweight and slim. It's a fantastic tablet replacement device, really, given the screen size and resolution. The battery lasts and lasts and lasts -- I average 24-32 hours on one charge ... and you can also charge an additional battery with a separate charger, and change it out, so you never actually have to plug in the phone.

I highly recommend the Galaxy Note II. It's just a fantastic, amazing device -- and this is coming from someone who used an iPhone since it was released in 2007. Samsung is now making better devices, and this is the best one yet. Do yourself a favor and get one."

"I had the original note before I bought the note 2. All of my issues with the original note were resolved. My battery life increase from 10 hours to 16. The screen is beautiful and sharp. The note 2 is noticeably faster. The user interface is cleaner and easier to use. Two active applications is a god send. Even the stylus is better. And, it still has the great big screen I love."

"However this time, it truly is like having a PC in your pocket. I run mine at work on the Samsung dock that allows me to connect a mouse, keyboard and widescreen and it runs better than my wife's netbook! "I upgraded from a Samsung Infuse which is a very good phone, the Note II blows it away. I love the huge screen and the beautiful display but the phones power and speed is awesome. I can't wait to finally learn and use all the capabilities (such as the S pen) of this phone.
I was a little worried about the size of the phone for everyday use, but after a few days it feels so natural and normal. I'm a little older so I wear my phone in a holster. I always chuckle when a young person sees my phone. Their face lights up with amazement and then they always ask, "does it fit in your pocket?". I slide the phone in my pocket and walk away."

"The Galaxy Note 2 blew me away! From the very first moment I got my hands on the device, I have not been let down. There was no other phone with the kind of specs the Note 2 offered. I love the fact that I have enough screen to actually multi-task and watching videos on it actually feels comfortable to my eyes because I am not having to squint to see something.
Over all, I really do not have any complaints about the phone. Sure it felt a bit large in my hands when I first got it, but that only lasted a couple days. Now when I look at other phones, I just laugh and wonder how I used to use a device with such a small screen."

"I had an IPhone 4s and gave it up for this phone. I'm so glad I did. This phone is crazy fast and the size of the screen makes a tablet unnecessary. The thing is that I haven't even explore half of the features and functionality and I already feel its tons better than any IPhone. You cant pay me to go back period!"

"The note 2 is almost perfect.
I absolutely love the screen size, cameras, performance, and screen.
It isn't as wide as the original Note 2 so it fits better in my hands.
The cameras and shutter speed are wonderful.
The house branded quad core processor and 2gb of Ram allow for great performance and true multitasking.
The screen is large, with bright colors and a great resolution."

"Upgraded from a Galaxy S2 - The Note 2 has a bigger battery and holds a charge a lot longer. The larger Screen is great for watching movies. The bluetooth links great with my car's audio system for Hands Free phone, audible text messages, and also links with my music stored on the phone and the internet cloud based music that i have."

"I was a long time iPhone user. A co-worker had the original note, and I was intrigued. After much research, I purchased the Galaxy Note II. I can not think of a single negative thing to say about this phone! It is my go-to device for everything. It is fast, smooth with down-loads, easy to learn and use. The size, which some have commented on, is my favorite feature. I rarely use my tablet or even my home PC anymore."
