"I've been selling cellphones for the past 4-5 years for several major retailers. Also, I've been with At&t for the past 2 years. I love Samsung products but I have to say the phone that I had before the Note (I had a Galaxy S 1) I was disappointed with how many issues I had with it (all related to the antenna in the phone GPS and Operating System).

On the most recent upgrade I got the Note, not because of it's physical size but more or less because of the battery size ( I'm a DJ so I travel a lot so I needed a phone with decent battery life). I have to say that in regards to what I got in the box, I am just extremely happy that there are not errors, lag issues with the OS, battery life is nice in regards to it being a smartphone, and the camera is awesome. I love the fact that it has a flash. I also am constantly using the tethering and hot-spot feature on it and though it drains the battery fairly fast if you don't have it plugged into a power chord, the signal strength is great with the 4GLTE and or HSPDA+. I honestly don't think that I have any problems or things I don't like about this phone except for the fact that most of the places in my area that sell cases for this are usually girly colors for cases, but that's not really Samsung's problem, it's mine. LOL, but I do strongly recommend this product to anyone that likes the larger screen and above average battery life (please do realize that this is still a phone, if you are on it all day, that's about how long it will last!!!)

I was on the fence about Samsung's smart phones after my debacle with the Galaxy S I, but I will honestly say that going from that, to the Samsung Galaxy Note, there is a big difference and I believe that this is the best Smartphone on the Market right now!"

"I love this phone. Great battery life. More features than you're likely to ever need. If I have any gripe at all, it's the screen. Sure, it's beautiful, bright, and large, but it's not top notch. The relatively low ppi really shows itself in bright light. Also, smaller text isn't terribly crisp, and can be hard to read. It really is a shame, because everything else about this phone is (over the top) fantastic. I still love it!"

"Although not as easy to carry in a front pocket, I did buy it for the screen size and ease of use. I love the clarity of the screen and it's readability. All functions work properly with connections speeds great and downloads completing in one shot. User interface is excellent, as are most Samsung products and it is pretty rugged too. Bought protective hard shell cover and dropped it from 3 feet within a week, right on its end, and suffered no damage whatsoever.

Have found that when playing games that the stylus doesn't always respond when tapping quickly, but I only play games infrequently and use it for the main uses primarily.

Was ready to pay for this unit but got it free, so an even better deal for me. I wouldn't give it up either. Would buy again."

"I've owned the Galaxy Note for a while now and it is easily my favorite 'gadget'. Its screen is absolutely beautiful and the size is just about perfect (for me, and I can't really understand anyone who has an issue with it...). Its a conversation starter whenever I pull it out and I use it for so many different things that its almost ridiculous. I *love* this phone. Great battery life, great audio when talking on the phone, great everything!

To improve on future models ( I know, its too late for the Note II ) I would add another speaker. Currently it only has one and if you lay the phone down watch something flat on its back it becomes very muffled (as any phone with only one flat speaker on the back would). I'd like to see dual speakers at the bottom back for more of a 'stereo' effect and also a front facing speaker (or two) that could easily be muted by its own volume button. But really, this phone is fantastic. Looking forward to upgrading to the Note III when it comes out (the note II looks awesome but the small upgrades aren't really worth the price of outright buying it since I renewed my 2 year contract within the last 8 months for the first Note). Thanks Samsung for making such a great, fun, stylish, and versatile phone."

"I bought this mainly for the large screen for my eyes and the bigger keyboard for my fat thumbs. This device would be perfect with some software fixins'.. And, that's saying something because I pick things apart.
The screen on my other phone is so sensitive, my hair 'presses' keys! Way too sensitive. Actually, I think breathing on it messed it up! This Note is MUCH better. It could use an alignment tool, though, in the software, for the pen and keyboard. If it's there, I can't find it.
I LOVE the high sensitivity camera! The low-light mode is great! I've used it on the telescope! I can't seem to make the focus work in movie mode, even after the update to ICS. ICS gave me the ability to pinch-zoom on the screen, in movie, live! Great! And ICS has the text templates. I miss the ability to move about text with arrow keys. It's tough putting the cursor in the right place on a line without arrows.
The battery lasts a long time, even when browsing.. The mic is sensitive and clear, the speaker and earpiece are loud and clear, screen quite easy to see in bright light, and my eyes are not that great, so this phone is for me!"

"It's a little big, but it's a GREAT phone. I'm a big "texter" My only complaint is there isn't a comma on the main screen. You have to move to a secondary screen to add a comma. I like to text and use proper Grammar and punctuation."

"I owned one of the first Samsung Smart Phones the Delve. I went from it to an Iphone because I thought that it would fit me, I was wrong. Now I have the Galaxy Note, and am in love with it. I can have ringtones sent from my friends that i dont have to convert at the Istore. The HUGE display rocks as well as the speed of this phone. So far I like the S pen, I know there is a lot I can do with it and have not figured out yet. I wish Samsung provided a paper user manual with the phone. I will never go back to an Iphone, I am a Samsung and Droid fan for life."

"I am extremely pleased with my G Note. I've had it for a fat 2 months and have only a few issues with it. Aside from the design causing me to inadvertantly adjust the volume when pressing the power button, and the "Voice Talk" feature sometimes experience difficulty with my verbal commands, the thing simply put...ROCKS!"

"ive had other smart phones from a well known competitor that where hard to work with as to not being very compatible with other product and programs i use on a daily bases and with each evolution have proved to be less durable then my "Note" and with it larger screen i dont get "Smart Phone Eye" when after viewing the phone my vision is so blurry i cant drive or read and most of all cant use my camera and as a photographer i find the optics in the phones camera to be great for impromptu shooting, i so impressed im considering buying New NX20 20.3 Megapixel Compact System Camera"

"I have always been a fan of Samsung Phone and Music Products. I appreciate the tons of internal memory and the expandability of that memory. Seems many other manufacturers are taking that away.

I was given an iPod 2 for Christmas last year. It was OK for WiFi work, but who needs another expensive data plan. My prior phone was an original Samsung Captivate and it was wonderful, but waring out and outdated and needed replacing.

I did not really like having to keep the bulky iPad with me but for my needs, it was the only option: iPad and phone, iPad and phone... When it came time to replace my phone, I decided to research every high end Android OS phone with a slight hope of finding a phone/OS platform that might replace both my old Captivate and my iPod 2. I started months ago and was discouraged at first. Nothing fit the bill. Then one day, while checking my network's web site, there was the Samsung Captivate Note. I read everything I could find about the Note from many different sources. It looked like it might, maybe be the all in one device I wanted. Best of all, it's a Samsung. I prevaricated for some time because I just wasn't sure, and if I was going to still have to carry a phone and iPod for my needs, I would have bought the S3. However, I crossed my fingers and made the jump and bought the Note.

Two weeks later, I gave my iPod 2 to my wife. The note exceded my expections. For my needs, (which are probably not like everybody's needs), It's perfect. Between external and internal memory, (32G) I'll never use it all, at least in the next 2 years and if Samsung keeps going down the Note path, I'm sure I'll get another version then.The S-pen is brilliant. You can only appreciate it when you've used one.

I only have one complaint, which keeps me from giving a perfect 5 rating. It is batery, batery, batery. Today, there is no reason to burden such a masterpiece as the Note with a batery that is so whimpy. The alternatives are purchasing the more powerful batery, thus eliminating the elegant slimness of the device, or carrying a charger and cables everywhere, or a pocket full of the whimpy bateries for change out.

When I am purchasing what is arguably the best product you have to offer in a phone/tablet crossover, I am baffled at the cheapness of, the low power, and short life of the batery. In my estimation the Samsung Captivate Note is almost, oh so close to being the perfect device at the perfect time for me. But why the batery????"

Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, replaced my phone and ipod, almost perfect in every aspect.

Cons: bad bad bad batery

"After a harrowing experience updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 followed by decreased performance, I decided to use my upgrade to finally switch to the Galaxy Note, which I've researched for months. I've been an iPhone user since it came out, and I honestly don't miss it at all with my remarkable new Note. I love the size, the performance, and the ability to manage my own phone. "I love this phone! Love the extra big screen display!!! I am looking forward to the software update!!! So I can love my phone even more. There is only one concern to me, ever since the first day i got my phone i have seen this smudge under my display screen when my lcd screen is on a black screen, and its only visible at night. But overall love it."

"Is that a tablet or a phone? This is the question most folks ask me when they see my phone for the first time. I call it my Tab-phone aka galaxy note.

Reasons I love this phone: 1. The size: Perfect size for my palm. Bigger screen means I can read better with less strain on my eyes and I can still dial phone numbers with one hand when I chose. 2. The s-pen: I like my screen clean of smudges from finger tips. I actually write out my text messages now. There's a "learning curve" for the phone and user but this beats typing by far (I had to play around with the predictive-text software). 3. The processing power: I think of this phone as "mighty mouse" or "atom ant". This is in comparison to tablets out there. Compared to other cell phones, I think of it as "the great one". No problem running any app so far. Tango and Skype run well on this device, esp over WiFi. Web pages load very quickly, I have even stopped using mobile versions of web pages. Alternate between Chrome, Firefox and built-in web-browser for web-browsing without any issues so far. 4. Folder options: I download large files into different folders on my phone just as I do with my MacBook Pro (yeah, I have a mac computer, which I sometimes have a hard time getting to work with my tab-phone but Kies handles the basic stuff and I find a work around the other stuff I need). The ability to download files into different folders and move them around on this device is great. I no longer carry around a jump drive. I carry my USB cable around for connectivity to other people's computers. 5. Connectivity options: Apps like Kies, Dropbox, WiFi direct, and even android beam make this phone an impressive productivity and multitasking tool.

When tablets started popping up, I resisted getting one because I thought of them as scaled-down laptops, but then manufacturers started adding 3g/4g capabilities, and I almost purchased one. But then I discovered the "super'd up" mobile phone called galaxy note and it's capabilities. I love it.

On the lighter side of things: There's a boomerang function where the phone functions as a self-defense assault weapon. Just throw the phone at your would be attackers and run. The GPS would fly it back to you. Heard it's technology from Captain America's shield and Thor's hammer (shareware version). Just like Captain America, working on your aim is a requirement."
