An Amazing Value

"This phone is mostly for value-oriented people. I don't think there is any other phone out there that gives the consumer so much for the price. You get SMS, internet capabilities, some nifty tools, & other features. The phone is relatively easy to use but the instruction manual that came with the phone is unclear. The internet browser button also caused me problems b/c it gets easily pressed when the keypad lock is not in use. Internet can be a bit slow but besides the internet button, the phone is overall a very good product."

Poor design of "Browser" button dooms usability

"This Samsung phone is offered through TracFone as an inexpensive, basic phone to use on a pay-as-you-go basis. For the price, the voice clarity is terrific, it's small and light, and the screen is bright and clear.
What is truly awful about this phone is the design and placement of a browser button. When the phone is on, depressing the too-prominent browser button automatically activates the web browser. That uses up a portion of prepaid minutes. Unfortunately, when I'm carrying the phone in by coat or pants pocket, that button gets pressed accidentally. Because of the excessive height of the button, it's possible to inadvertently have the button is pressed over and over again, wasting airtime without any knowledge that it's happening.
The only solution given has been to lock the keypad, which severely curtails the phone's ability to be ready right away.
Because of that design flaw, would not buy this product again."
