"Great voice quality on T-Mobile. I use the BlueTooth on a daily basis. Could use a longer battery life. Camera is very basic, needs good light to deliver good images. But keep in mind this is a phone, not a camera :) Otherwise strong feature set, very nice display for its class, mediocre sychronization capabilities.
Very compact. I will return to flip style though with my next voice phone, as the long form factor of a thin candy bar / slab phone is a bit awkward for someone who moves around a lot like me."

"I never write reviews...iIn fact this may be my first and I can say that this phone deserves time to be taken out to give it props...Where do I began...I have had this phone for about a year and a half and it has definitely gone through many beatings. It may not be for everyone maiinly because of it's size...It is a small and sleek phone. I happen to like that in a phone so it suits me just fine. I have dropped this hundreds of times and it still looks brand new....I send around 1500 text messages a month talk on average about an hour and a half a day and my battery will last a little over two days. The pictures come out pristine and it's easy to navigate...Overall the things mention above would place this phone at about average...But where I became the most impressed...and Kudos definitely go to Samsung...is when you can get thrown in a pool with your phone in your pocket and within twelve hours of drying out it worked as if it had not endured extreme water damage....The screen is still as bright and perfect as day one....Anyway, the main reason for me writing this is due to me changing phone providers and i'm actually upset that I have to give it up...I was told that they don't make this phone anymore but for someone who may need a refurbished phone and find this one....Grab it while you can...You can talk, text, email, surf the web...It did everything I asked of it and more."

"The T509 is a great phone that I have enjoyed carrying, mostly because of how thin and light it is, so easy to carry in a pocket or in a holster on your waist. As a cyclist, I found it was really easy to bring along on rides, didn't add any bulk but gave me a safety escape from any problems."

"I got the samsung T509S Plum in 2006, sence then my baby has put in the dog's water dish.. full of water; and I drop it on the daily. This is a great phone that will last for a long, long, time."
