Handle mounts are very cheap

"Bought 9/07. About 9 months ago the mounts that hold on the handle was cracking and chipping away. The other night the handle mount broke. The mounts are made of plastic. The working of the micro/hood is very good, although I would not call it "quiet" when the fan is running."

"While we like the features of this microwave, its construction leaves a lot to be desired. The handle has broken off the unit twice now and the door latch is not working correctly. The handle is held in place by plastic brackets that clearly are not up to the task. I am considering replacing the whole uint with another make as I do not want to have to replace the handle every year. It is clear from the internet traffic, that this unit is plagued with this problem."
