"I'm still not clear if this records in HD or not... it says it does in ads, but the start guide says nothing of the sort. The low light performance is terrible, and the auto-focus is unreliable for the most part... but for the price it is a great deal for taking with you on vacation and not worrying about it... fits in your pocket, has a built-in lens cover and powers on/off fast. I'm concerned that editing will be a problem since the device shows widescreen recoding but other programs read it as standard (but squeezes the image). Also, the plastic side panel popped out slightly at one point - but was easy to fix with a small screwdriveer (I just took off the panel and put it back on properly). I will save up for a better camcorder eventually, but this served its purpose when we went to an amusment park and needed something portable and quick to capture our memories."

Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight, super-compact, fast to power on/off

Cons: Not high def, poor low-light performance
