"This is my first smartphone so I was nervous at first. This phone has been simple to use from the beginning. It's great for someone's first smartphone or for the more experienced user.

The only problem that I have had is that a couple of times a week my phone tends to freeze up. The only fix seems to be taking the battery out for a few seconds to restart the phone. Compared with the problems that I have had with other phones though, this is nothing."

"Honest reviews aren't always that honest...
but honestly...this phone has the conveniences of everything you could ask for in a touchscreen smart phone but EVEN WITH the optional slide qwerty keyboard.

For someone like me with big and sometimes clumsy fingers...it is a life saver!

It performs well and does great for multi-tasking. i.e.(wifi + location + e-mail + g.p.s. + etc.)

The only thing I have problems with is its compatibility with certain applications like Youtube. It doesn't always render the full video but i believe it has something to do with the application itself more than the processing of the Transform Ultra."

"In my day I've used a lot of different phones but none of them have pleased me as much as the Transform Ultra has. Its performance is rock solid which is surprising seeing as its an "entry level" smartphone. Sure, its not a dual core but it runs extremely smoothly. Lag is almost non-existant with this phone even when multitasking.(my version of multitasking is having pandora, myyearbook, facebook, texting, and MANY widgets running all at once. The only hickup I have found has to do with the camera button. I have found a bit difficult to get the auto-focus to work properly for me.. which isnt a real problem.. after a while you learn how to work with it. I also found that sound quality through the speaker isnt the best.. its great for VOICE but not for MUSIC.. just plug some headphones in and you'll be set. The keyboard is flat for the most part but after a little while youll get used to typing with it as I have. Overall a great phone. It may not have all the features of a "high end" smartphone but it certainly packs a punch."

"I have has this phone for 5 days and it has been pretty much trouble free. The only problem I have experienced is when I try to respond to my husband's texts the area code is dropped and I get an error code. I have to delete the thread and send messages to him as new. After the message is sent the thread will drop the area code. I have tried everything except factory reset to try to solve this problem."

"The Samsung Transform Ultra is by far my favorite Android Smartphone. The number one feature in a phone that I look for is the battery life, and unlike most smartphones I don't have to continuously charge this phone throughout the day. The ease of access between screens is seamless. I was a little skeptical that this device would be a little bulky and heavy due to it being a touch screen and full quarterly key board (slide out), but the manufactures have come a long way with giving these phones a more sleek, lightweight feel. I am very impressed with this device."

"when the screen goes into screen saver and you go to unlock it, it sometimes has a dark screen, or items dont appear on the screen for a while, the fact that when i turn wifi on it wants to shut the 3g network off, every phone i have had before allows both connections so that it has a good strong internet"

"Well, when I go to use my phone, it shuts off automatically. So I tell my parents and they say to force stop all the apps that look for the most signal, since this phone doesn't have a task manager. So I do, and it still shuts off. So I look online and it has reviews saying the same thing I'm saying right now. Some say that it could either be a bad battery, or I need a factory reset, which erases all my data. I don't like that though, because I have all my music and pictures on there, and they will go away. I just don't know what to do. My upgrade isn't until December, so I have a long way to go. Oh, and there is no 4G...All in all, this phone's cool, except for the shutting off and for only 3G and no 4G option."

"Worst phone I have ever owned. Every day I have to delete something off of it because I keep getting Low Internal Memory error messages. I keep my apps to a minimum but still am almost back to stock features because every time something updates, I have to delete something else. It's ridiculous. Plus, when you try to type, either the onscreen keyboard covers up the text box or the pull out keyboard doesn't allow the text box to line up with the screen. Either way, you end up typing blindly half the time. I could live with that, tho, if I could go two days without an internal memory error. Definitely needs a memory upgrade!"

"I purchased this phone yesterday. I was not advised of the issue surrounding texting someone without the area code. Once you do it to someone you cannot FIX the issue in the phone. Even if you delete the thread and the contact and attempt to put back in each and every time you attempt to text those people the number reverts back to seven digits. "I have had this phone replaced 4 times with the exact same model and every single one of them has terrible reception, constantly locks up and I can rarely ever use it. Not recommended."
