"I really like how blu ray movies look on this tv. I also like the media player built in the TV, I am able to connect my external hard drive to the tv's usb port and enjoy family pictures and movies, this is a great feature. I don't like the position of the hdmi connections though I wish they would have placed them on the back facing back not on the left side, Since I keep most of my devices on the right side and you walk into the room from the left side to the tv you notice the cables, but maybe not many people have this problem."

"The 32-inch 5000-series LED TV is an excellent TV. The 1080p is what clinched it for me - I know they say you can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080 under 42 inches, but I definitely noticed a subtle difference in clarity and overall picture quality on the 5000 compared to the 720p-only 4003.

I haven't tried any games on it just yet, though as an electronics salesman at a major retailer I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I didn't know this (or any Samsung) TV had a "Game" mode. It's buried a bit in the Settings menu rather than the Picture menu, so I can see how I missed it, but as it's my job *not* to miss things like that ... well, let's just say I'm going to spend my workday later today going through every inch of the menus in all of our TVs just to make sure I haven't missed anything else important.

Since I'm starting to just ramble on, I'll close by saying this - if you're looking for the absolute best quality 32-inch HDTV, and don't care about 3D or Smart features (which seem pointless to me since my Blu-Ray player has all of the Smart features anyway), the 5000-Series 1080p 32-inch from Samsung is THE best on the market."

"I wanted a 32" led lcd tv for my bedroom. this was to replace an older standard definition tv. this particular tv fit the bill perfectly. the picture and sound quality are top notch in my opinion. I took the time to fine tune things like the picture and audio and was able to create what I consider a perfect picture and sound to go with my verizon fios. the warm1 setting for the picture is a must for a bedroom. it put the finishing touch on things for me. I have no complaints. and being so light for a 32" tv made my install a peice of cake."

"Pro's
Great picture both on TV and PC and perfect size for computer screen.

The HDMI connection improved my PC's performance with repsect to both video and audio. (you must hook your computer to TV using an HDMI connection so make sure your computer has one)

Cons:
There are only 2 HDMI connections,
The moniter does not swivel or move
The remote is not universal so it cannot be programmed but is needed to change the functions on the TV since the button to change the functions on the TV is difficult to naviage."

"Samsung's LED 5000 Series TV was a very smart buy. This is the first Flat Screen TV that I have owned. Brilliant Color, Sharp Picture and viewable from all angles. The only con to me is that I cannot stretch the picture in non HD mode without losing some of the picture like the writing on the bottom of ESPN. I can live with that. I have owned a Samsung cell phone for 4 years without a complaint. I am sure this TV will give me quality picture for years to come.
I truly would recommend Samsung to all of my friends."

"I am very pleased with this product. The picture quality is what should out to me the most. I can tell a big difference between LCD and LED even though I was told you should not be able to. I think the TV could have been cheaper but I think it is still worth it. I have heard nothing but great things about Samsung. The brightness and clarity of the TV is the best I have seen it a 32". "This Samsung 32" LED TV is a fantastic choice for smaller places. We have an older Entertainment Center from before the time of 16:9 and needed (wanted) a replacement television. This 32 fits perfectly and delivers the Samsung quality expected. The only issue we have is that you cannot raise/lower the height of the display with the television stand. The ONLY recommended change that I would make to this item is to provide for a 1-2 inch height adjustment capability with the flat panel stand."

One thing people need to realize is the difference between the 5003 and the 5000...the 5003 does not have a digital audio out link, while the 5000 does, thus the $50-$75 price difference."

"Good picture, easy setup. Flimsy stand which does not tilt. Auto Volume feature does not seem to work; many stations too loud, too soft. This is true even with Firmware version 1014.1. There is no headphone jack, a major omission, especially for a bedroom size TV. You have to use the Sound Out jack for headphones, and then you loose the TV's volume control and mute function."

"This is overall a very nice TV. Beautiful picture - color, brightness, contrast range. The TV is stylish and lightweight. The sound is good too. My one minor negative of this TV is that the image brightness fades a bit into the far corners. For a full array LED backlit TV it should have more even illumination, and I have seen better even illumination into the corners (on more expensive TVs). Most of the time this is not noticeable and of minor concern. Other than this I am very pleased with it."

Generally happy except for dead pixels

"The picture takes a lot of adjustment but generally can be made to look pretty good. I like the stereo audio out feature to connect to older audio amplifiers.

I'm a bit sad about dead pixels and hope the problem doesn't get worse. Currently, there is a dead color pixel and a cluster of 4 or so dead backlight pixels.

I also think it's disingenuous to market the "120 Hz clear action" feature which when activated makes the picture too dim to watch."

Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight

"The Pros of this TV definitely outweigh the Cons. The only Con that i have is rare but inside the TV menu it sometimes slows down and take a second to catch up while still registering every button push you have make on the remote. After it has caught up, every button push is then registered as the menu then flies through it like it has a mind of its own"

"My mother-in-law bought us this TV to replace our other one that started to show "shadows". Setup was a breeze, and the picture quality is great.

My only cons are this - only two HDMI ports and it has rear facing speakers, causing me to buy a sound bar.

Other that that, I would most certainly recommend this TV to friends."

TV vs. Computer Monitor

"This is a great LED back-edge-lit full HD TV to use as a 30" Computer Monitor (as well as a TV). I am partially blind (low vision) & need a big monitor with the sharpest text imaging as possible, high contrast, good enough color to do graphic design, home office work & internet videos. The 30" or higher monitors were out of my budget range. I compromised with this TV to be my monitor and am EXTREMELY pleased with the quality for the price range! Plus, it seems as fast (or faster) than a 1-2ms monitor using a 15.0 Gbps with Ethernet/1080p+/3D HDMI cable plugged into the HDMI2 port. I'm not really a gamer, so this is an adequate speed to fit my daily uses! However, it does come with a gaming mode for gamers.

Cons: The text is not as sharp as a true computer monitor, but with the most recent firmware upgrade, it is enough for me to see clearly to do my work, even with low vision. Another con is this TV does not tilt up and down as a monitor would, or side to side (fixed stand).

I am leaping with joy because this TV "acting" monitor made my life a whole lot easier! A long overdue move!"

Cons: text not as sharp as monitor, fixed stand - no tilting

"Good TV clear picture quality did not really had to adjust much. Stand that holds TV not that good no way to tilt or adjust and very flimsy. Sound quality ok just not very loud. Overall a good tv a little pricier than others of this size and class."

"It is written in one of my BD 6500 Bluray player manuals that Samsung TV's produced since 2007 have a feature called Anynet+ which allows you to connect two Samsung devices with HDMI and control some of the functions from either device. In my case about a year ago I purchased a Samsung BD 6500 Bluray player and a 22 inch Samsung series 5 LED TV and I when I turn on the Bluray player the TV turns on and the source is automatically set to HDMI. Isued another BD 6500 player with an older 2006 32" Samsung TV and recently gave the TV to my daughter so I bought a new series 5 32" LED 1080p TV because I liked the Anynet+ feature of my other series 5 TV. When I went into the menu to turn on anynet+ I discovered it wasn't an option. What gives Samsung? You invite people to dinner and when they show up you don't have any food? I think from now on I'm going to switch to another brand. I currently have three Samsung TV's with Bluray players but but the next generation will most likely not be Samsung unless they can get their act together and be more consistent along their product lines."

Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, fat and as heavy as my 6 year old 32" lcd samsung
