"I bought this TV from RC Wiley over 2 years ago and have never had a single problem with it. The base is very sturdy and kinda heavy glass, but it has never been knocked over even with people running into sometimes. Without the base, this is a very light TV, I can hold the whole TV with just my pinky and thumb. The Image quality is fantastic, but I do recommend getting a 120hz LED TV if you do a lot of gaming, because the images can blur if you are doing some fast paced gaming and this can cause you to miss that game winning shot in call of duty.
Overall, it's a great television and it plays Blu-Ray very well, the sound from the speakers will fill any room, and the touch buttons on the front of the TV are very responsive and never frustrating."

"I got my TV on a very special offer two years ago and still as good as new. Excellent picture, Realistic colors when watching Blu-ray movies, easy to mount on wall supports, and the sound is great. My only con was when a floor fan is turned on, but that got solved when I bought a sound bar. With this addition, I have my own cinema at home. Great recommendation if it's your first LED TV."

"This TV has a great picture quality. Seeing as I have had it for around 2 years I am sure samsung has something that is better, but if you are considering this TV because it is more affordable now I would say go for it. I have not been dissapointed with the picture or quality at all. Actually I have compared it to other brands and have not seen a screen as clear and vibrant as Samsung! I have compared side by side and honestly the picture quality is the best. The only downside is no built in wifi but for the price you kind of expect that."

"Love the TV. Works great in every way. Love how I can stream via DNLA from other devices to the TV. My only complaint it took a bit to get good color as some colors where exaggerated. But after color correction this is easily my favorite tv."

"I bought this product a year ago as a replacement for my PC 15'inch LCD. It works great as I connect my PC to the TV using Nvidia GTX460 throught HDMI. Now I run all my game at Full HD mode at 60Hz. Very smooth and looks great for my game. It also can use for the red/cyan 3D effect with quite good effect. I love it very much!"

"This was bought for me as a gift. I was going to bring it back and upgrade to the 120mhz led. I'm glad I didn't. I've never had an issue with ghosting in sports, or action movies. "i used to own a sharp aquos and when i got this samsung led tv i was pleasantly surprised at the difference in the picture quality. the colors are more vibrant and the picture is more sharp and clear. just a great tv i only wish i had the 120 hz refresh rate vs the 60"

"This is my second Samsung Television I have purchased in the past 2 years and because of Samsung's reputation as a premier brand when it comes to electronics, I am more than satisfied with their products. This 40" LED TV has all the features I wanted in a TV: 1080p, LED technology, 60Hz, etc, etc. My previous TV was a 32" LCD that was also a Samsung and I've been satisfied with it's performance and reliability so far. I don't mind paying a premium for the Samsung name because it is worth every penny I spend. I also own a Samsung cel phone which has kept its share of performance and durability. I can't say anything negative about Samsung and its products because I've never had a problem with them. I'm sure next year I will upgrade to a better TV with 3D technology and most definitely Samsung will lead the way again when it comes to the sleek look or future of TVs. Bar None, this TV is awesome!"

"This is a pretty amazing t.v., and it's a steal for what I paid for it. This is my first Samsung product, and what got me to buy it, was the quality of a friend's Samsung television. It was very easy to set up, and the picture quality is awesome. If you're a sports fanatic like me, this is a great t.v. to watch them on. Only problem that I have encountered so far, is that it makes some random, and sometimes, annoying popping sounds. Not quite sure what is the reason, but I will find out soon. Great, simple television overall though."

"Wow what can i say, ive had hdtv before and this is my first LED tv, the color are amazing, and when i play my video games are so colorfull and i can see everything single detail. Match it up with a bluray player and watch bluray movies and you will never go back to normal dvds. I got nothing bad to say about this tv, sound quality is awesome, colors, and everything. I got everything hooked up by HDMI cables and its the best thing you can do. Over all this is the best TV ever and i have had so far 3 LCD tvs and this is my first Samsung and im never going back to anything else."

Our family thought we had seen everything a flat screen could offer, but from the minute the sleek Samsung LED unit came on line in our recently remodeled family room, the room indeed became a true "family" room. "Call me old fashioned. I have used computers for over - well let's just say for more than 25 years - so a network is nothing new. The idea that most of the movies I have on my Mac can be served and shown on my TV just blew me away. So far - and this is not a complaint - the only movies that do not work are those "digital copy" files that are coming now with many movies.
As far as the unit itself - the overall picture is great. The flesh tones are good and the landscapes can be breath taking. The picture is crisp and clear when watching an HD show. One of the first Blu-Ray discs that I got was the Disney "Oceans". The underwater scenes are truly impressive.
The sound is routed through a Denon AV receiver so I cannot really comment on the audio quality. The few times I have used the built in speakers the sound has been good.
So far- knock on wood - there have been no problems. I am actually on my second unit. The first one stopped turning on after about a week and the store replaced it with no problem. I do not consider the first unit as a problem as sometimes new hardware fails for no definable reason.
When the instructions recommend having a helper while moving this thing around, especially when hanging it on a wall, DO IT ! While not really heavy, the size makes it bulky and hard to handle. And this is the 40" - I would hate to try handling a 46" or 55" by myself!
But it does look good hanging on my wall. The clean lines and simple frame blend together very well. The hint of red in the frame is interesting but is lost once the picture comes on.
I used some adjustable shelf rails as a frame to mount my left, right, and center speakers. An HD movie on this TV with the full 7.1 surround can overwhelm you!
Overall I have no regrets about buying this LED HDTV except possibly for that next size bigger...."

"I have viewed this LED for a long time at every sports bar in the area! NASCAR, Baseball, Football, etc has a whole new look! And its great!
With a HDMI cable, its like being at the movies without the cost!
Sure hope it snows a lot this winter so I get "stuck" insides the house! Enjoy...."

"I have owned this TV for a few weeks now and I have Gamed on it both from consoles and my PC via HDMI, It has Excelled at any task I placed before it so far. Blu ray looks excellent on it so does streaming HD."

"The Samsung 40" LED 5 Series is my first TV and its an amazing product. Purchased at the beginning of this month, I haven't watched much on it yet but what I have watched has been superb. Beautiful clarity! I paired up the Samsung BD-C6500 Blu Ray Player to my TV and my wireless connection thus far has been flawless and enjoying fast downloads of favorite films and shows. My only "con" would be that I wish the HDMI & other cable ports faced downward instead of outward."

"Great looking TV, Great picture! Was looking at a couple of VIZO and saw this Samsung next to them on display. WOW!! What a difference. Went home and got my wife, as I was getting the TV for her. I own a VIZO, and felt that I wanted one for her? I went over the 3 TV's with her and she saw what I did. Now we have one GREAT TV and a VIZO!!!!"

"I was amazed by the thinness & it was a LED of this TV. I LOVED the picture clarity and also the fact that it's a 60Hz but able to perform with a feature Auto Motion Plus 120Hz. I loved the contrast ratio better than all the highest priced LCD's. The sound of this TV is beyond what I expected. This has been my first HDTV & also my 1st product I've bought from Samsung. I hope I could bring more Samsung Products to my home over the years."

"The is by far the best television that I currently own. It has many functions to connect via USB port w/ HDMI cables for gaming console, blu-ray player, Apple TV, and Direct TV. So basically it's multi-functional and makes it easy to connect to several other devices."

"We purchased this TV as a replacement for a UN40C6300 set that was on for an hour and shut off and refused to be turned on again.
We love our new TV as far as some features but I think they should be hung up on the wall not on a corner stand cause the sound is very weak and the picture turn whitish and almost out of focus as we move from the center to either right or left.When viewing from the center it's a beautiful sharp picture can't ask for any better."
